What a gem! The bedrooms were beautiful, unique, homely and comfortable. The pub was beautiful. The food - dinner and breakfast was so tasty

Lovely place to eat and stay in the heart of the countryside.
We booked a one night stay here with an evening meal and it did not disappoint. The room was absolutely lovely and the food was delicious. First class service from all staff.

We stayed for 2 nights and the experience was perfect. The staff were so frieindly and accommodating. The breakfast and evening meals were excellent as were the menus to choose from. The accommodation was very good.

We went for my birthday and had a wonderful time with our dog Boris ! Susie and her team were exceptionally welcoming and we thank you so much. We will be back and this was our first experience of Butcombe Inns….. definitely not our last, the loyalty club ensures we will return. Thank you, Jon and Lynn

We have just returned from a lovely night away in a great spot in Sussex. The day had been full of rain but coming back to this establishment cheered us up. It felt like a country house, warm fires and lovely areas where you could entertain or alcoves to relax. The staff were friendly and professional where nothing was too much trouble. The rooms for the price, were excellent with all amenities, including a radio playing music as you entered. We had an extra area where you could sit and chill without being overlooked, in fact the rooms we saw were all separate to the pub. Dinner in the restaurant was well above standards normally found in other pubs, tasty and plentiful.
I can honestly say, the stay was memorable and well deserving of a birthday treat. If in the area, do try it out for quality, price and a great feel for a night away.

Fantasticly furnished & in keeping with the local area. Food was delicious & sat by the log burner made it even more perfect.
Beer & wine great and reasonably priced.

Made a trip to The White Horse on a Sunday special, £84 a couple including breakfast. A warm welcome on arrival and a table around the fire for a couple of drinks before retiring to our room. A very clean cosy and pleasant looking room (see photos). Off to lunch which was excellent. Even better, we were given vouchers for a free drink and when our Golden Ticket was opened we received a 50% discount on our food. Staff were friendly and polite. There have been cosmetic changes to the pub since our last stay which have enhanced the experience. If you want a place to stay or eat in the Chichester area this is it you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic location, beautiful pub, high-standard room, brilliant service and absolutely delicious food. Already looking to book a stay to another Buscombe pub, and will also return here.

Great location for walks , great atmosphere in the bar and dinner, and the most dog friendly place we have been . All the staff were wonderful and the rooms great .

A well needed 2 night break, the room was fantastic as were the staff. The food was wonderful and portions were generous. We had plans to go out on the Saturday but due to my health we decided to spend the day at the inn. What could have been a frustrating day was flipped round playing backgammon by the fire surrounded by the beautiful Christmas tree and decorations. Would absolutely recommend here.

It was a Christmas gathering and we had a beautiful table. The staff were great and the food superb. We loved the whole experience

Fantastic pub in beautiful countryside. The rooms were tastefully decorated to a high standard with lovely toiletries and tea/cofee facilities. The bar and restaurant had a relaxed, cosy vibe, well decorated and delicious food. And friendly staff

I've stayed at the White Horse on several occasions when working in the area. It is always a great experience. The staff are great the rooms beautiful and the food is fantastic.

Beautiful clean room, comfortable pillows and bed (I didn’t want to get out of!).
Staff very friendly, amazing beef pie and lovely atmosphere for working away in my own.
