Room ok, location ok. Outlook on room poor. Lovely gentleman outside welcoming guests…

Cons:

We arrived at 0830 …no chance of checking in early or even asked if we wanted to check in at lunchtime. View from window poor. No Ice dispenser on each floor so need to go down to level 2! No offer of help to take bags to room. Reception staff do not all have good English

An Excellent Stay at Hotel Keihan Tsukiji Ginza Grande
Pros:

After hearing so much about small hotel rooms and shared bathrooms and showers in Tokyo, our stay at Hotel Keihan Tsukiji Ginza Grande exceeded all our expectations!

Our room was spacious, the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and we had a wonderful view from the 13th floor. Another great touch was that if we needed anything extra, we could simply pick it up at reception.

The hotel was clean, fresh, and well maintained. It also had washing machines and dryers, and on every floor there was an iron and ironing board, a microwave, and a cold beverage vending machine. These little extras made our stay even more convenient.

Breakfast was generous and delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. As Swedes, we might have appreciated a little more cheese and ham, but honestly, I didn't miss them at all because there were so many other tasty things to enjoy. And after all, when in Rome… or in this case, Tokyo! 😊 I think it's much nicer to embrace the local culture and try something different.

One particularly thoughtful detail that I really appreciated was the little card provided by the breakfast staff. We could place the “Occupied” side on our table and go back to get more food without worrying about losing our seats. Once we had finished eating, we simply turned the card over to “We Are Done.” Such a simple but brilliant idea!

The hotel is also conveniently located very close to the subway, with plenty of lovely restaurants and cafés nearby for lunch and dinner if you don't feel like travelling far.

I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo!
