so, a big part of this is my own fault, but they do advertise a 24 hour convenience desk, which is not true. I came in at one in the morning because the bus dropped me off, I had to walk 20 minutes to get to the hotel from the station, and when I got there, nobody was at the helpdesk. There were two little boys sleeping behind the helpdesk, but they didn’t stir to a flashlight in their faces. I had to check myself in, grab my own key, make my own bed, and clean up a little bit. There was no soap in the bathroom, it was difficult to get the AC running, and there wasn’t even a light in the bathroom.
Overall, I feel like I got scammed out of my money.

Cheap stay and condition corresponds to it's price. So nothing to complain. Just don't expect much.
Perfeito!
The only two selling points for this hotel are that it is cheap and decently located, with Pai Resort and Poo Restaurant just a short walk across the bridge. You couldn't look anywhere in our room without seeing something moving--there were that many bugs. No hot water. No hotel amenities, like towels or shampoo or toilet paper. I know toilet paper isn't exactly a staple in most Thai establishments, but even the hostels I've stayed in here have had toilet paper. Also, I'm not sure if what we slept on can legally be called a bed. It was hard. There were no sheets on the mattress: only one blanket, just big enough to cover the top of the bed. The pillows weren't much better.
The staff speaks very little English; we called in to check our booking, were told that we did not have a reservation, made a new reservation, and showed up only to confirm the first reservation anyway. A lack of English-speaking ability is often forgivable if the staff is friendly, but this one wasn't. They guy who manned the counter during most of our stay was very cold and did not give off a friendly vibe. Our bus to Sukhothai came in late and he made it very clear through his attitude how inconvenient it was to be accepting customers that late at night, or to interact with them at all during the rest of their stay.
The hotel tooms are quite basic but are very clean, and the receptionist, who spoke adequate English, is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very central and close to the night market and food stalls. There is a small park opposite that holds evening aerobic lessons!
