They were overbooked so they cancelled my reservation and sent me to ac hotel which was a very uncomfortable place.

Room not ready on early arrival which is always a bummer but ready by stated 4pm check in time. I had emailed ahead of time letting them know we would be arriving early
Breakfast was excellent, staff were fantastic and facilities were spotless.
The restaurant downstairs was closed for a private function, the roof restaurant was nice but noisy as it doubles as a club with DJ and not our cup of tea.
I really wanted to love this stay. The Dalmar is a beautiful property, and I was actually excited after getting a warm welcome email asking for my arrival time and special requests. I told them I’d be there at 7 PM and needed extra towels, but when I showed up, the room wasn’t even ready. I didn't get in until 8:30 PM, and the front desk staff seemed like they couldn't be bothered—they were just chatting with each other while I waited.
Once I got into the room, it was just one blip after another. The bathroom door was literally hanging off the track, the cordless phone didn't work, and the shower leaked a puddle onto the floor every time I used it. I even had minor things like coffee lids that didn't fit and having to replace toilet paper as soon as I checked in from a paper bag on the floor—which honestly felt tacky as hell for a hotel like this. It all peaked at 2 AM when the sink knob came completely off so I had trouble stopping the water. At that point, I was honestly fearful of what I was going to discover next.
However, I’ve updated this review to give this 4 stars is because the Hotel Manager, Mr. Berry, is a real pro. After I reported everything, he reached out serval times, called and text me and didn’t give me any of the typical corporate excuses. He actually listened, took total accountability for the safety and service failures, and even followed up with me personally via text to make sure I was taken care of. I felt like he went above and beyond to make things right and compensated me fairly for all the stress and the nights that didn't go as planned.
It’s a shame the facilities and service at the start were such a mess, but the leadership here is top-tier. I really appreciated the manager’s personal touch and the fact that he stood behind his guest to make things right. It’s rare to find a manager who handles a bad situation this well. The hotel has a lot to offer so I think with a few tweaks it will be top tier.
I cannot say enough good things about the service at The Dalmar, specifically the incredible help I received from Cheyenne.
I had lost my jacket and, after searching everywhere, I had honestly lost all hope of ever seeing it again. I was incredibly stressed, but Cheyenne stepped in with the utmost professionalism and kindness. She didn't just give me a standard "we’ll look into it" answer—she actually took the time to help me locate it.
Thanks to her diligence and effort, my jacket was found! It’s rare to find someone who handles their job with such care and genuine concern for guests. Cheyenne is a massive asset to The Dalmar team and made my experience truly unforgettable.

This is a property that calls itself a “hotel.” But has:
No hospitality
Cheap, uncomfortable furniture
Poor service
Electrical outlets in the rooms in the bathroom and halls that do not work so that you cannot dry your hair any place in the room
Plumbing that does not work properly and makes a non stop siren like noise when water is turned on.
Shower temps don’t adjust from hot to cold
Terrible to non existent front desk and management
Showers full of white scum on walls and floor tiles
A disgusting stay which will never be repeated

Marriot offered us $40 in compensation.
Avoid Marriot Bonvoy except for five star hotels like St Regis and Ritz Carlton or you may have a nightmarish stay as we did. The corporation is also unprofessional and offers nothing but intrusion and begging for a good review
Celebrated my husband's birthday and company holiday party. Everything was EXCELLENT! Our room was beautiful with amazing views. Very friendly staff- Andy made our stay very special. The Sparrow Rooftop restaurant and lounge is a little hidden gem with Great vibe. HIGHLY recommend The Dalmar Ft Lauderdale. Location is also "just right" walking distance to restaurants/Las Olas.
This is my worst Marriott experience EVER! I am in a suite with no bedding for the sofa bed. Phones and room keys that don’t work and they have told me to essentially deal with it until tomorrow. This is unreal.

When outstanding service is encountered, we talk about it and give credit where credit is due. While staying at the hotel Chelsea, Stacy, and Dorian each contributed in a big way to having a pleasant stay. Prior to check-in Chelsea corrected an incorrect room assignment. Once in our room, we experienced a very noisy elevator and Stacy compiled with our request to relocate. Dorian explained the features of the hotel in detail. He also was able to locate an antihistamine on site that we purchased. Each person performed their tasks in a friendly and understanding manner. These three folks are a credit to the hospitality industry.

Had the extreme pleasure working with Dalmar employee Cheyenne. She was absolutely amazing and I was amazed at her work ethic and eagerness to help our team. I don’t know what Dalmar pays her but she’s worth her weight in gold. She went over and beyond the expectations!!!!
Employee Cheyenne was very helpful, she offers great customer service to everyone she comes in contact with. The staff here is Awesome!!!!!
