Very comfortable and great staff
Nothing really
We stayed at the Element which shares amenities with the Dalmar. Clean no frills spacious room. Huge shower. Fantastic free breakfast. Great staff throughout. Thank you Paula for making our bar and lounge experience one of our best!
Large room
Comfortable bed
We loved our stay at The Dalmar and got to enjoy most of the amenities. There was a pop up ice-cream bar in the lobby when we arrived, which was very popular in our family. The pool was heated, which was needed as the pool is in the shade for some of the afternoon. The cocktails by the pool and in the lobby were of good quality. We had a spacious one bed suite with two bathrooms and TV in both rooms. I thought the hotel flip flops were a nice touch. Location was good as we walked to most of the restaurants. We will certainly be returning to The Dalmar on our next visit.
Staying one night before boarding a cruise. Picked the hotel because of the pool for my kids but there’s a private event so the pool is closed which happens but should be noted when making a reservation. There’s one bartender in the lobby bar for the hotel guests AND the private event. I tell the lobby about how is impossible to order food or drinks, literally get a “not our problem” response. Needless to say I don’t recommend staying here as it’s obvious that management has no idea what they’re doing. And even if this mess wasn’t going on the drinks are no good, go for a beer or wine if you manage to get any service.
This place is wonderful, nice, clean and everyone is very friendly! My daughter and I did experience one problem afterwards, the incidental fee, which we were told was going to drop off the bill and after waiting for a week, it never did, so my daughter called and spoke to the manager (a female) and she stated this is a resort fee and some other fee which we were not aware of upfront. Instead of providing adequate customer service, she began debating and arguing with my daughter. I expected more from this place from beginning to end. I have never been charged a resort fee and I have been to Jamaica, Mexico, Hawaii and you say Florida is a resort, wow!!! I would say they need better management!! You don't debate with consumers, you retain consumers!!
The DalMar is a beautiful hotel, nicely located and is well worth 5 stars. However, there is more to the story, we are titanium elite and I used points and cash. I booked using $79 and 51 thousand points, for two days, what a deal. Once you get there, there is a $40/ day parking fee, no elite benefit. Breakfast has a $15 dollar credit, but look closely, your choice is one cup of coffee one roll or one fruit cup. Really! I had the breakfast burrito that was great, but $11 dollars great? The staff was terrific the hotel is first rate; but, go in knowing the rate is just the beginning!
Ismael is friendly, has great energy, an is an amazing bartender. He remembers my drink no matter how long it has been since my last visit.
The Dalmar is incredibly warm and accommodating—even to my dog Peanut. Their consistent kindness makes every visit special by Harley, Gerardo & Vinny.
The cafe has nice selections of quick bite and matcha. The restaurants have excellent food.
I’d absolutely recommend this hotel to friends visiting Fort Lauderdale.
Mike in security was amazing! I ordered something to eat with an outside delivery service that was delayed. Mike was engaged and waiting for the delivery to bring it up to my room. What hospitality ! He went above and beyond.
Thanks again Mike.
Quaint hotel with nice rooms and friendly staff. The lobby bar is a great place for a quick bite, and entertaining staff; definitely would recommend this hotel!
Beautiful clean property. Friendly Staff, beautiful pool. Sparrow rooftop bar is a must visit also. Rose coffee shop has delicious drinks. Ismail made our evening enjoyable, charismatic and creative bartender. We were given great info around Fort Lauderdale by him. Thank you
This is a great hotel. Very nice, updated rooms. Mine had floor to ceiling windows with a great city and partial ocean view. Breakfast and lunch at the lobby bar & restaurant was excellent. The pool on the 6th floor is a great hang, poolside bar and service too.
But what makes this place standout to me is the staff. Everyone I interacted with had an amazing service touch and positive attitude: the valet staff, wait staff, cleaning crew and front desk. A special shout-out to Aldrick at the front desk who helped me sort out room choices and Kimberly at the restaurant who served me all day while I worked remotely.
I would definitely stay here again.
Great room. Doormen were great
Andy is the BEST! He was so helpful! It maw my birthday so much more pleasant and fun!
Cheyenne was Amazing!!! Will absolutely come again!!!
I recently stayed at The Dalmar in Fort Lauderdale, and my experience fell well below what should be expected from a four-star hotel.
The stay started poorly with valet service. The valet attendant stood and watched as I unloaded my luggage and carried it to the valet stand before acknowledging me. After I informed him I was checking in, he asked me to wait. A second employee then approached, registered my vehicle, and instructed the first attendant to take my car. It was disorganized and unwelcoming — not the first impression one expects at this level.
Service throughout the stay was consistently lacking. When I ordered food delivery, I had to go downstairs to retrieve it, which I understand may be policy. However, when I called the front desk to request plates and utensils, I was told I needed to go to the bar to get them myself. On another occasion, I called down to request ice and was told I would need to retrieve it from the ice machine at the end of the hall. Requiring guests to repeatedly leave their rooms for basic service requests does not align with four-star standards.
The most disruptive issue occurred at 2:30 a.m., when a smoke detector in my room began chirping due to a low battery every 30 seconds. I immediately notified the front desk and was told it would be addressed. It was not. The noise continued throughout the entire night and into the next day. A basic maintenance failure like this — especially after being reported — is unacceptable.
Additionally, the rooftop nightclub played loud music until approximately 1:00 a.m., and the noise was clearly audible in the guest rooms. Guests seeking rest should be aware that this may significantly impact sleep quality.
Overall, this stay was marked by poor service, lack of responsiveness, and preventable maintenance issues. Based on this experience, the hotel did not meet four-star expectations.
I had gotten a few nights stay for my manager while he was down on his Florida business trip and he got back with me regarding how wonderful of an experience he had. He said he felt so welcomed that he wants this to become the new go to location for all business trips. While he was there he was assisted by a gentleman named Chevy who had gotten back to him swiftly and with incredible customer service. Chevy thank you for leaving a great impression and making my mangers stay a wonderful experience! Highly recommend this hotel
Chevy and the rest of the maintenance crew were very responsive to the small problems I had, shows why this property stays in elite shape.
Epic fail Marriott Dalmar from long time Marriott members. You put a young family after a long travel day under the dance of your rooftop club. Rm 2405. Called down to front desk and rep offered to move us. Packed up and came down to the lobby only to be told by what may have been a superior that because we are only here 1 night we couldn’t be moved - but agreed we shouldn’t have been put there in the first place.. be better to your loyalists
