愛犬と宿泊するのに良い環境のホテル
Pros:

愛犬と泊まれること。部屋が思っていたより広く感じました。ロケーションがよく、犬の散歩に行きやすい。

Underwhelming experience.
Pros:

Great location for an early start to see the bamboo forest before the hoarded of tourists. Lovely places to walk nearby. Lots of space in the room.

Cons:

Very far from Kyoto, absolutely nowhere to eat in the evening, room wasn’t cleaned in the three days we were there, presence of a Doberman around the hotel the first evening made it very uncomfortable. A small dog braking in the room next to us on the third evening was also very annoying. No view from the bedroom as the windows have mottled glass. Photo of lounge area on booking was misleading- it’s now an office, so nowhere to relax apart from room. Felt like a very strange experience and I regretted not reading the reviews in advance. We left early.

Pros:

My husband and I both enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was actually pretty large, and we personally really liked the location. It was quiet, and very peaceful right on the river and just a short walk to the monkey park. I will say it is a bit out of the way from other parts of Kyoto, but we intentionally wanted to have a relaxed pace and just walk around and explore the area, we weren't very concerned with seeing all the main tourist attractions that most people go to Kyoto for. Great place especially for the price.

ベットの下に小さなおもちゃが落ちていたので、以前泊まった方のではないかと思うと見えないところの掃除が行き届いてなかったのかなと思った。

The kind, patient, intelligent Japanese culture was evident in everyone we met. Arigato goziamasu!!

The women working the desk were very helpful. I wish they understood more English. Masaru-san was most helpful and and knowledgeable. The location was most convenient: near Ranzan restaurant for breakfast. Close to Togetsukyo bridge, 4 train stations. The coffee choices were excellent and oishii. The pastries were the appropriate size and oishii.
