Lovely hotel and service with good sized rooms and clean with great staff
Wonderful to be able to travel with my 3 sighthounds without having to pay any additional fee. I wish all hotels were as pet friendly. The room was clean and had a bath as well as a shower which was lovely after an achy day. The only ‘irritation’ rather than fault was the charger point wasn’t next to the bed.
The food is excellent - both vegetarian and vegan breakfasts were Scrummy and the chef kindly cooked sausages for my 3 hounds. I highly recommend this place for a mini break.
Live this hotel. Great vibe
We stayed at The White Cliffs for one night only during a trip with our in-laws, the room was really tiny and quite uncomfortable. On the good side, the location is very nice and the food was outstanding!
Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice to have the pub/restaurant next door. Convenient shop and other local restaurants are close by; however, be careful walking the roads as cars are speeding. No facecloth (however every hotel in U.K. doesn’t seem to have facecloth), musty smell in the room.
Very pleasant and helpful staff
Excellent hotel, rooms very comfortable and quiet. Food excellent both breakfasts and evening meals which can be taken in the restaurant. Friendly staff very helpful at all times.
It is a charming, cosy big beachhouse. I had the room with the 4 poster bed - very elegant, as well. Walking distance to the cliffs and Lighthouse. Good stretch of the legs.
We stayed in ghe main house with the for poster bed. It was slightly strange to have the bath tub in the bedroom, but it was nice to have both a bath and shower. The breakfast was fabulous. It was great to sit in the garden and have a pint. We didn't eat dinner there but we saw them stoke up the pizza oven for their home made pizzas.
The car park is very small but there is a free public car park right across the street which you can stay at for 24 hours.
We enjoyed our stay very much and would book again. We did have a small problem with the hot water but it was fixed really quickly. The staff were all pleasant, especially the evening bar and restaurant ones.
I really liked the White Cliffs Hotel! hey have a very nice bar and restaurant on site. The rooms are comfortable, and have everything you need, with really nice shower gel and shampoo. I highly recommend staying here atop the Cliffs.
Good location, quaint rooms (although very small and the door couldn't close because a table blocked it), original style of building, eco-friendly, good choice of plant milks at breakfast. Portion of friend breakfast could have done with being a bit bigger. Parking - the front was full so we found somewhere else, which may or may not have been part of the hotel - we should have been advised about this.
Not a very warm welcome! All staff wearing casual clothes so didn't really know who to approach with queries! A mismatch of furniture in bar area and only one comfortable corner to seat but not good for eating bar food! One really surly staff member who really didn't want to serve us and never spoke as she cleared breakfast plates in garden! Poor atmosphere and small booked room was 'really' small! Although food very good wouldn't recommend or return!!
The room was very hot and compact, but comfortable.
My room was nice, but above reception and the bar therefore there was plenty of noise late in to the evening. I could hear the guests in the room above me walking around from 6pm.
The water pressure in the shower was very poor and the shower head was not high enought for me to stand under it. I'm not very tall.
Great location, excellent breakfast, lovely fire going all the time .... warm - physically & emotionally.
The restaurant is very good and popular among the locals. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend it
Nice hotel in a lovely village. Chose the larger of the rooms as some looked quite small.
The hotel was very friendly and the breakfast was great. Bed was very comfortable and we had a really good night's rest. Hotel parking was welcome especially as this is a busy village. Would recommend this hotel highly.
Great location bedroom and bathroom nice but small. Very accommodating staff and good food. Lovely peaceful garden area.
