A wonderfully welcome stay in paradise
Pros:

Karuna is a gem amongst the hustle and bustle of El Nido. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment with our 2 children (7&9 years) and it was wonderful. Views to die for from the front bedroom and whole living space, loads of room and great facilities. The place was cleverly set up e.g. a water cooler in each room to reduce waste, and there were fans and air conditioning and if you wanted to cook there was a well equipped kitchen. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious and the restaurant was the best food we had in El Nido at a very reasonable price, and having the dining area look over the pool and sweeping views of the bay made for spectacular meals. Would stay here again for sure.

Cons:

Nothing to fault. As is with the rest of El Nido, don’t expect the pristineness of a 5-star western resort - El Nido is a remote tropical location after all. As advertised, the villas are set in a steep slope above the beach, so access would be difficult for the very unfit or less able bodied, but the beautiful gardens and views make it worth it. Our young kids easily managed it. And there is a free shuttle to the main part of town.

Relaxing stay with excellent views and service
Pros:

Complimentary continental breakfast was excellent! My guests and I looked forward to it each morning. Honestly, all of the food at Karuna's restaurant was delicious; we had dinner twice there during our stay, and we were never disappointed. Best pina colada ever, it's a must try! Our room was spacious, clean, and perfect for 3 people; we had 2 beds, 2 showers, and a massive balcony that directly faced the sunset (amazing views!). The pool also offers amazing views and is a perfect place to unwind after a long beach/boat day. The staff tended to our every need and was always very friendly. My guests and I each enjoyed Swedish massages at Karuna's spa which were excellent and incredibly relaxing. I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel, I absolutely will recommend it to my family/friends and would definitely stay here again.

Cons:

There was an unpleasant smell in and around my room in the late afternoon to early evening - this was likely sewage-related. Thankfully, it'd be gone or improved by bedtime.

Beautiful views and great food
Pros:

The view was amazing and the restaurant food was simply delicious.

Cons:

Pick up service could be more organized. Also, we arrived for breakfast at 8 am (it started at 7am and until 10am) and 2 dishes were already sold out (and the options were limited), it would perhaps be better to ask guests to chose their option the day before (rather than simply suggest it) to avoid this - as I ended up having to chose something I didn’t really like. Lastly, we are asked not to open the umbrellas by the pool due to the wind, which is not ideal as we would’ve liked to have some shade.

Pros:

tolle Location mit einer super Aussichtslage über das Meer und tollen Sonnenuntergängen. Das Personal ist super freundliche und das Angebot im Restaurant war sehr gut.

Cons:

Man brauch immer einen shuttle, um irgendwo hin zu kommen. Dieser wird aber vom Hotel teilw. sogar kostenlos angeboten. Die Abstimmung mit der Rezeption war sehr einfach über whatsapp. ACHTUNG die Anlage ist nichts für Leute mit Gehschwäche (aber das weiß man vorher, weil das Hotel das ganz klar auf den Buchungsplattformen macht.)

Pros:

La villa 2 chambres avec piscine privative avec la vue sur la mer était somptueuse, mémorable ! Mais ne pas craindre les geckos !

Cons:

La qualité de service était très inférieure à mes attentes. Beaucoup d'incompréhensions, de retard de livraison de room service (à mettre en péril une expédition) et de rdv de spa pas honorés comme prévu. Ca fait beaucoup pour le prix !

Très bel endroit avec vue panoramique pour découvrir El nido
Pros:

Tout était exceptionnel : la vue de la terrasse, la qualité des équipements et les prestations (dont SPA) , la gentillesse du personnel, la localisation proche d El nido centre et de très bons restaurants de plage à 5 minutes à pied.

Cons:

Petit bémol : au niveau du service de restauration il était dommage de ne pas être servis en même temps (nous étions 4) et d avoir plusieurs plats manquants (dont poisson à la carte)

Die Aussicht über die Bucht und die damit verbundenen Sonnenuntergänge sind unbeschreiblich schön. Der Service und auch die Küche sind sehr gut. Es gibt kein Buffetfrühstück, dies haben wir als bereichernd empfunden. Es gibt einen regelmäßigen, kostenlosen Transport nach El Nido.

Cons:

Wifi ist nur auf ein Gerät pro Person beschränkt. Die Zugriffsqualität war auch nicht sehr stabil. Gerade in der Nacht ist die weit unterhalb der Anlage befindliche Straße deutlich hörbar, aber dafür kann das Hotel ja nicht.

The villa was beautiful with amazing views.
Good easy TV with Netflix
Staff were lovely and friendly.
We had breakfast to our room if we didn't want to do stairs.

Cons:

For $500 a night i expected a bit more.
The towels were thin and stained at times.
The shower while it looked good was mostly cold showers.
The only gave us new towels every second day.
It is abit out of town and the shuttle is only 2 hourly, and you have to let them know.
One night we let them know but they had a airport pick up. They have more than one car.
A bit unorganised.
If you don't like stairs avoid this place
The breakfast selections are limited.

Amazing views and excellent staff. Good and fresh food. Amazing pool area and bar. Comfy beds and nice spacious veranda.

Cons:

Prepare to have some exercise. Steep hill (depending on your villa location) and lots of sets of stairs. But the staff is very helpful and also provides transportation. Small price to pay for the amazing location.

Pros:

I stayed in four different rooms/tents, the glamping is newer and i prefer the glamping of karuna on the Other Side the management is better on the villa Side. Special mention to Geo and Jane who took Some frustation away with there excellent service by the pool.

Pros:

The photos don’t do it justice, stunning property with amazing views! The infinity pool is lovely with a stunning back drop. We stayed in Joglo 4, good location close to the pool, restaurant and spa. Beautiful view from our room too. The food was also really good and not expensive. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Massages at the spa were very relaxing. Overall highly recommend to stay here if you’re in El Nido.
