We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Bolgatty. The staff were consistently warm, courteous, and genuinely attentive. They were quick to understand our needs and always found solutions with a smile.
A special mention goes to the chefs at Malabar Café, who went out of their way to accommodate our special dietary requirements. The food was outstanding, with an impressive variety of authentic Kerala cuisine. Everything we tried was delicious—I only wished I had an extra stomach to sample more!
The rooftop bar was another highlight, offering a good selection of beverages along with some excellent finger foods in a relaxing atmosphere.
The hotel's location on the beautiful backwaters, surrounded by lush green spaces, creates a peaceful and rejuvenating setting. We also appreciated the dedicated guest relations representative, who stayed in touch with us via WhatsApp throughout our stay to ensure everything was going well. It was a thoughtful touch that made us feel genuinely cared for.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would happily stay here again when visiting Kochi.
The only disappointment was that I wasn't informed about the cruise departing from the hotel, which I had been looking forward to. Better communication around guest activities and schedules would have helped.
The other aspect was the frequent requests for feedback. During our two-day stay, I completed four written feedback forms and was asked for feedback several more times. While I fully appreciate the importance of customer feedback and continuous improvement, there seemed to be an overemphasis on collecting it at every touchpoint. Hotels should be mindful of not making guests feel that feedback is closely tied to staff recognition or performance metrics, as it can start to feel repetitive and detract from an otherwise relaxing experience. It almost did for us.
The spread of the breakfast was amazing and upon request they will do customsied meal/breakfast for you

Having stayed at most of the hotels in Kochi, I can confidently say that grand hyatt is one of the best, if not, the best hotel to stay at in the city…
From the warm and friendly staff to the spacious rooms offering stunning backwater views, everything about the stay was exceptional. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the breakfast buffet is easily one of the best you’ll find in Kochi, with an amazing spread.
Dinner at Thai Soul was another highlight. The food was outstanding, and watching the chefs at the live kitchen in the middle of the restaurant made the entire dining experience even more memorable.
One feature that truly stood out was the in-room TV system. Its interface for accessing entertainment, hotel services, and information was by far the best I’ve experienced at any hotel. It was a small detail that made a big difference to the overall guest experience.
Highly recommended. And I’ll definitely be coming back as well :)
Unfortunately, I visited on a dry day, so alcohol wasn’t being served, but that’s just bad timing on my part.
On the bright side, I got to enjoy a great workout in the hotel’s well-equipped gym.
The only downside was that the EV charging station at the hotel wasn’t working. So I couldn’t charge my car overnight as planned.
Also the kids play area could use some upgrades.
