Un séjour exceptionnel

JP en Danielle zijn ontzettende aardige mensen. Vol enthousiasme werden we ontvangen. We hadden zelfs de plek helemaal voor ons alleen. Bij aankomst stond er een olifant ons op te wachten ;) Ook het diner bij het kampvuur was super! Danielle is een goede kok!

We had the most wonderful days as a family at Lions Place. JB is the perfect host and an even better ranger. His game drives were incredible, and he shared so many fun and inspiring stories about nature and wildlife.

Everything was perfectly organized. Anna and Pretty were two incredibly kind hosts who also happen to be amazing cooks. Together, the three of them made a fantastic team and made us feel completely at home.

We asked JB if he could arrange something special for our parents’ 35th wedding anniversary, and what they put together was truly amazing: a beautifully decorated room and an unforgettable breakfast by the river.

To top it all off, we were lucky enough to have elephants visit the lodge twice, an experience we’ll never forget.

Dear JB, Pretty, and Anna, thank you for the wonderful time, your warmth, and your hospitality. We ended our trip in the best possible way, thanks to you!

JB is a great host and an awesome tour guide. He gave us unforgettable memories with the safaris. The lodge is very familiar and you couldn't ask for more.
His two lovely employees prepare excellent food throughout the whole day. We had an incredible time and were really sad to leave. Thank you!

Все было замечательно! Обычно не пишу отзывы, но тут место превзошло все ожидания, Это настоящее удовольствие видеть людей, влюбленных в свое дело. JB замечательный хозяин, все знает про сафари и Африку, не просто возит по саванне, но реально каждый выезд это вызов для него обнаружить животных в своей среде обитания. Его персонал идеально следит за чистотой комнат, а готов выше всяких похвал. Вы не останетесь голодными и равнодушными к вкуснейшему сочетанию европейской и южноафриканской кухни.

Wir haben uns im Lions Place außerordentlich wohl gefühlt. Wir fühlten uns willkommen und wunderbar betreut von J.B und den beiden guten Geistern Hanna und, Britta. Der Game Drive haben wir uns sehr spannend und das Essen am Boma sehr romantisch. Wir waren traurig, dass wir am nächsten Tag schon von diesem herrlichen Platz abschiednehmen mussten.

Die Lodge liegt in einem Game Reserve, umgeben von der Natur und nichts weiter. Die Elefanten kamen wirklich zum Trinken an das Wasserloch und am Abend wurde uns auf der Terrasse ein Dinner gereicht. Die französische Küche war herausragend und zu viel. JB hat eine sehr große Erfahrung als Ranger und hat uns soviel gezeigt und erklärt. Man kommt voll auf seine Kosten.

As instalações sao lindas, ha um lago para animais que do quarto conseguimos observar alguns bebendo agua, os quartos sao execelentes e JB foi sempre muito solicito, foi uma pessoa muito agradavel. Tudo é bastante exclusivo.

JB is echt een fantastische host en goede ranger. De safari's waren heel gaaf en ons hele gezin heeft genoten. De lodge ligt midden tussen de dieren en we hebben olifanten gezien bij de lodge. Personeel is uitsluitend met heerlijke maaltijden en super service. Echt wen top plek!

L'endroit est magique avec vue sur un pond. Le lodge est petit ce qui permet de se sentir VIP. La proximité d'une pièce d'eau nous a permis d'observer des animaux pendant la période entre les safaris. Le guide bilingue français / anglais est compétents et réponds à toutes les questions.

Very special place. Excellent personal service by Danielle, JP and staff. Good food, and of course the game drives: we saw lions and rhinos, and JP told us a lot about animal behavior. We had a memorable stay!

A lovely lodge run by a very friendly and very helpful French family. We stayed in the family suite which was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast and meals were delicious home cooked food with generous portions. We did several safari trips with the hosts and we really enjoyed these. The scenery in this area is beautiful. The highlights for us were driving alongside 2 lionesses and the elephants visiting the lodge. We loved watching the family of elephants bathing in the waterhole and taking a drink from the swimming pool.

Lions Place is a fabulous lodge. Located in the middle of a private reserve bordering the Kruger National Park, the hotel provides a luxury experience. Besides being very nice, well decorated and comfortable, it offers several alternatives to tour the area with highly trained guides (Congratulations to JB and Ian for their fantastic work as guides!) The room is very spacious, with a very comfortable bed, a large bathroom with a large bathtub, closets, tea and coffee making facilities, cold water and an incredible view of the savannah.

Lions Place also has a swimming pool, and two viewpoint that allow you to view the beautiful scenery, plus the garden where if you are lucky you can find wild animals (we saw a porcupine). JB, who is in charge of the place is the best! Very friendly, welcoming and an excellent guide both in the area and during the full day safari we did in Kruger.

At Lions Places you can also request, in addition to the value of your stay, a dinner, which is an unforgettable experience. A French and South African fusion dinner with a starter, main course and dessert, which, weather permitting, is served outdoors. In our case we did a full day safari (exceptional!) and a morning bush walk. Both instances were amazing! We saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and many other mammals and birds that made the visit unforgettable. A special note to the ladies who run the place, they are very kind and excellent cooks! Totally recommended and we would stay there again.

The whole experience was magical, and one we will remember for the rest of our lives. We were blown away by the efforts made by Danielle in hosting us, from the amazing home cooked food in such a beautiful setting to making sure we had clean rooms, new towels, and made beds to return to every morning. As for the safari, it is difficult to find the words to describe how amazing this was. We really appreciated JP sharing his experiences and knowledge of the animals and his patience in answering our many questions. There is nothing like seeing an elephant with its baby walk right past you or a lion so full after a kill that it can barely move. In the end, we saw zebras, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, impala, rare wild dogs, and many other animals and birds. We already miss our coffee by the river as the sun comes up...it was perfect in every way.

Lions Place is in the middle of a game preserve, so it is remote, but that is essential to its charm. You are in the middle of the habitat of African wildlife. Nevertheless, JB has managed to create a really high-end lodge. The building is lovely, the rooms are very comfortable, and the meals are exceptional. We went on four safaris and they were magical.
