Mimpi Perhentian

A very good hotel in a strategic location. The facilities are great and the staff is super friendly and attentive. It's next to the pier and on one of the beaches with the most services. 100% recommended.

This place is a piece of paradise. We asked to be allocated the same room as our previous stay and this was sorted easily before our trip. The view is outstanding and the staff are brilliant. The rooms are super clean and we were welcomed with a welcome back room decor with balloons which was a lovely surprise. This is truly my favourite place I have visited. The beach is beautiful and there are bars and restaurants all along this stunning beach. We can’t wait to return to Mimpi again!

great location (literally next to the jetty) at long beach, at Perhentian Kecil Island. Easy to drop off (you’re the last to be dropped off but the first to be picked up to/from mainland).

Nice hotel, neatly furnished with great breakfast. And long beach provided us with plenty of beach area to walk on and good variety of restaurants and activities.

Nice hotel, very cleaned. The staff are friendly. Facilities and breakfast is good. Definitely will come again to Mimpi Perhentian.

Happening area along the longbeach, near to the jetty, friendly staff & good food. Nice pool, nice room, everything is good

Room 326 is noisy because of the machines (AC/transformer) nearby, especially at night.
It would be great to improve the soundproofing of the window and the door.
Also, the balcony AC units are loud when two are running, which makes it hard to enjoy the beautiful view.

Food and location is superb.
We have a great time staying here, the staff us helpful and caters to our needs.
We take the full board experience including activities. Best decision ever made.
Will come again in the future.

Es un pena que los alojamientos de lo que podría ser un paraíso contribuyan a ensuciar el medio ambiente de una manera tan atroz.
El uso de plásticos de un solo uso, la nula gestión de residuos y la poca empatía por lo que les rodea, hace que no sea un lugar en el que reflejarse.

El hotel está bien pero es carísimo, más de 200€ la noche y sin desayuno.

Double charge of €800. Paid twice for the same stay. They used our mistake to make a profit. Refused any refund despite clear proof. Avoid at all costs.

Having been to Alunan Resort on the same island, this is not the hotel if you want more privacy. Hotel was new,staff were friendly but the ala carte food could do better .The best attraction was the swimming pool looking out to sea.The island is beautiful with crystal clear waters.

I would not recommend. We booked two rooms for our family. Rooms are very small and Air Con does not work. Also, we found plastic in our over priced smoothies from the bar. There are much better places to stay in this region.

El alojamiento está bien ubicado .El personal es muy agradable.La limpieza del hotel es normal.Es un hotel de playa,y aunque el personal se esfuerza,es muy notorio el desgaste al estar tan cerca del mar.
El precio del hotel en temporada alta que es cuando fuimos nosotros,no se corresponde con la calidad ofrecida .Pagamos 195 euros la noche con desayuno incluido y vistas a la colina.Nos consta que es de las mejores opciones que pueden encontrarse en la isla,pero calidad precio no es una buena opción si pagas ese precio.
Por otro lado,quería matizar que el juicio lo hago siendo española y quizás tengo integrado otro concepto a la asignación de estrellas a los hoteles.Quizàs personas de otra nacionalidad puedan dar una opinión diferente.
El desayuno ofrece mucha comida asiática ,un rincón en vivo de huevos variados ,café,algún que otro dulce,tres tipos de pan que puedes tostar,mermelada,mantequilla....no está mal,pero faltaba mucha fruta .Solo pusieron sandía y quizás es algo que puede echarse en falta en un destino así.
En resumidas cuentas...sólo recomendaría este hotel según fuese el precio.Al precio que he pagado yo,no volvería a repetir la estancia.

The staffs at Mimpi resort were very helpful and always smiling. The resort staff services were excellent...we just drop off our luggage at the Mimpi office near Kuala Besut Jetty and the staffs help us load and transport the luggages to the resort at Perhentian island. The resort is just next to the Jetty at the perhentian kecil. We were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink while processing the checkin. We book the room facing the beach and the view is fantastic. The beach in front of the resort were very clean ...We had our first snokelling at the resort beach and jetty area as the water were so clear....truly amazing...Overall, we enjoy our 4 days 3 nights stay at the resort and would highly recommend this resort to others who are looking to visit Perhentian Kecil. One other thing worth to mention.....upon check out of the resort, the Mimpi staff will guide us to the Jetty and then to the dedicated boat for the resort guests ensuring we onboard the boat and arrived safely back to Kuala Besut. Kudos to all Mimpi resort staffs for the great services. Will see you again next time.

Absolutely Disappointed – Locals Beware

We stayed at Mimpi Resort hoping things had improved since our last stay in 2022. Unfortunately, it was a complete letdown—again.

The breakfast was terrible. Cold, tasteless, and it gave me a stomach ache that ruined my final morning. I checked out just 15 minutes late due to the discomfort, and instead of asking if I was okay, the receptionist rudely called to remind us about the 12.00pm checkout—as if we were freeloaders.

When we went downstairs, her expression was full of attitude. Yet, the moment foreign guests walked in, her face lit up with fake warmth and over-the-top politeness. It’s painfully obvious: if you're local, you’re treated second-class.

We had actually planned to extend our stay, but after this experience, we cut our trip short and headed straight to Marriott instead. Best decision we made.

Even worse, the manager witnessed us voicing our concerns—but rather than step in, he walked away like nothing was happening. No accountability, no backbone.

And honestly, for what they charge? This place is hugely overpriced. Bad food, bad service, and worse attitude.

We’ll be raising this to higher management—and trust us, we know the right people to speak to. Until serious changes are made, avoid this place at all costs.

Great option for vacation. Thanks a lot to staff Aidil for a great service during our check out. It was smooth like butter. >_<

Nice hotel, freindly staff and great location. A bit patchy service when it comes to refill of room amenities (coffee, tea, snacks and soft drinks in complimentary minibar).
