Nothing
The location is not easily accessible, the room was not good and small, the bed was not comfortable and small for 2 people, staff not ready to help even after communicating that I had to live the place at 6am.Not clean at all
Some staff were friendly and great people to talk to, only one woman that work at shift was a bit rude and lack customer service.
Friendly people I have met them in the property.
It was good
Staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable
The hotel has a very high value for money. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The food in the hotel restaurant is good, relatively cheap and abundant.
Wifi was unstable and insufficient for an online call. Plug was too far from the desk. Downtown Nairobi, where the hotel is located, is interesting but also chaotic and noisy during the day.
Just the position
The staff was very rude. The receptionist at the checkout was talking to me while she was watching some random videos in her smartphone.
I asked for the breakfast box because I needed to leave at 5.00 am they confirmed it to me prior to my arrival, but then, when I was checked out she said me that it was impossible to have an early breakfast.
At check-in the dollar machine “was not working” so they charged 4 dollars more than the original price in booking because of “their conversion” to KSH. I asked for refund of the extra money and for the breakfast that they didn’t give to me.
Not much
There was no water for the whole day until the following morning. They gave us two buckets of hot water instead. They didn't tell us that there wasn't any water as soon as I paid at reception.
It was average.
They tried the trick of giving us only 1 breakfast for 2 people. Always fight back when they try this, eventually we got breakfast for both of us.
The customer care was really super, Martha at the reception 💋, someone a Ugandan lady have forgotten her name was such a darling, so sweet👌 and the people in restaurant were all super cool. Thank you very much guys.
Finally, breakingfast was mmmh👌👌👌, maybe a little more big cups for some of us🙈🙈🙈 hahaha.
Any ways, many thanks.
The room was ok, but it needed more fresh air for the better smell and fresh.
A hotel located right in the centre of Nairobi - it's very convenient to stay here if you have a bus to take the next morning. The room is comfortable and the breakfast is included in the price - it's very good value for the money. The receptionist was extremely kind and helpful.
Sandton City Hotel is a great place, perfectly located.
The staff is very professional and friendly.
Great quality value in town.
I highly recommend it.
Unfortunately nothing, we woke up as early as possible to check out immediately.
Terrible area where you constantly wonder whats going to happen to you. Even policeman stopped us just 100m away with random excuses to get a bribe and making like we were doing something wrong.
At breakfast the staff tried to make us believe the B&B fare would include breakfast for one only which was never stated previously, online and this never occurred any place of the world. We were asked to pay an extra breakfast which we refused to.
Room very small, looked like a prison cell, some bugs, no windows.
I recommend paying slightly more and stay in a safer part of Nairobi (North west), avoid this part of city!
Staff helpful
Location excellent if you are using public transport (Matatu, bus): terrible if you are not
Walking distance to University, Parks, restaurants
Area is jammed with traffic.
