Did not take breakfast. Although an old property, the room was sparsely but adequately furnished, comfortable bed and relatively modern bathroom. On site bar.
Guests entering late we not necessarily sensitive to noise and the walls were thin to the corridor.
The proximity to the city centre, the semi-hidden private parking, the cleanliness, the staff.
Nothing - the room was as per described. It was actually very silent - despite the hotel was fully booked - and there was a fan (we were there for the hottest weekend in 2026! 32 degrees) which was not at the expensive and supposed to be 4 star Marriott we were the night before.

An ideal location. The room was very hot due to unusually hot weather (30 degrees) but a fan was supplied which helped.
When we visited last time we had an excellent cooked breakfast. Unfortunately on this visit the kitchens are only functioning at weekends due to last year's flooding. Hopefully they will be up and running again soon.

The hotel contacted me explaining the situation after the flood some facilities were not available. I personally seen the damage done and they should be proud they have achieved. This my second time staying there and I will be back. Great hotel.

Great location as a base to explore the area. Considering the problems caused by the flooding last November I think the owners have done remarkably well and are still battling to get everything in order. Deserves supporting.
