Lovely hotel
Pros:

Lovely location, ample parking and spacious well kept rooms with comfortable bed. Breakfast & dinners were good. Bathroom was spacious and well designed. Very clean and well kept hotel.

Gorgeous stay, great value for money.
Pros:

Room was large, clean and gorgeous, had everything you needed for a night away. Staff were so friendly and helpful, check in was quick and painless. Like how tucked away it was, felt like we were out in the middle of the countryside.
Dinner was delicious, and the vibes in the restaurant were cosy and welcoming.

Cons:

Bit of a long wait for breakfast. Another table ordered at the same time as us and had theirs served long before us. Was delicious when it did arrive.

Great place to recover (after the Chelmsford half marathon)
Pros:

Lovely peaceful setting - we stayed in ‘Hawthorn’ which was very stylish. The on site bistro was closed but reception suggested an excellent pub nearby
