The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the room itself was spotless as well as having all the facilities we could need
The one and only issue was that we ordered two single beds and there was a double bed instead but as soon as we let the staff know they had the issue resolved within 20 minutes
really good rooms, very clean and fantastic bar
more choice of food would nice
Great location. Friendly staff. Great facilities.
Nothing.
Our go to hotel every time we're at a Glasgow gig. A lovely warm welcome, friendly staff that go over and above for you on reception, in the Sky Bar and at breakfast or in the restaurant. Love the iconic views, so much so we barely put on the TV. A fab buffet breakfast too!
Location ,staff, bed
Furniture a bit shabby, tv not working cost of sat night room
Location to SECC
Nice location and up to date rooms
The bar and staff friendly
Great room with a great view and the sky bar was chilled and relaxing when we got back after the show we went to see.
Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, long waits for replenishment of hot and cold food and it wasn't busy.
Everything was great
Front reception staff were great and really friendly/professional. Easy check in and check out. Car park was spacious and room was situated at a nice viewpoint of the water and surrounding Hydro/Armadillo. Room was a good size for two people, tv in room, ironing board and hair dryer. There were scuff marks on the wall that were noticeable but overall the room was good for the price. The reception having a QR board to hire a taxi was also a nice touch.
The only experience we had which soured things was the Skybar experience. Arrived around 10pm for a drink and view of the water. Barman was a bit ill tempered and had an unnecessary edge to him. Too much slang and voiced his frustration with his colleagues that the card machines had went down, almost like he was fed up of being there. We just stood there, uncomfortable with waiting to see if we could get a drink whilst the Barman ranted to colleagues. When he did resume the conversation, he again quite sharply advised that it would "Be Cash Only" now. We simply replied, we only have card on us, could we set up being billed to the room as we had the parking fee to pay in the morning anyway. No "Leave it with me, I'll see what alternatives are available". Again sharply, "I'll check", types in the room number, returns and says "You've not set up a card on file to the room, so can't bill it to it". Uncomfortable silence, expecting him as a representative of the Hotel to advise us how we can put a card on the room. I take the initiative, ask him "Can we set up a card on file to the room", cut off mid sentence by another staff member who updated us "The Card Machine Is Working Again". Bought one round of drinks but the vibe from the bar staff put us on edge and we headed back to the room.
We are big fans of staying at Radisson Red and that hasn't changed. Staff are always welcoming and helpful. Love the spacious rooms, fantastic comfy bed, great shower and always super clean,
I didn't like that we had to contact reception to get the room temperature increased especially as this is the 2nd time this has happened. However it was dealt with very quickly thank goodness. If this is a new cost saving policy, we are unimpressed. It would be okay during the Summer but not on a cold wet Winters day in Scotland!!
The breakfast was 1st class. So much selection.
Nothing to complain about.
I have stayed at this one previously and more recently in Dec the Galway Radisson Red. The Galway hotel was lovely and had hoped this one would still be.
The bed was very comfy.
I arrived quite late and was kindly given an upgrade but the room was very scruffy. It was classed as a suite but the carpet was really dirty (looked like 2 dirty lumps of chewing gum stuck to the carpet near the bed and the area near leading into the bathroom had yellowed and was stained). The room smelt of cooked food because it was on the first floor over the restaurant/ kitchens.
I should have complained at the time but it was late and was leaving early in the morning (work trip) but for the price it was not good value for money.
