Viihtyisä kodinomainen majoitus. Uintimahdollisuus joessa. Mukavat omistajat ja hiljainen sijainti. Lyhyt kävely Möhkön keskustaan.

Cons:

Valitettavasti veden kanssa oli ongelmaa. Koko viikonlopun aikana ei tullut lämmintä vettä ja hetken vedet olivat kokonaan poikki. Meille tarjottiin vasta lähtöpäivänä mahdollisuutta käydä suihkussa rantasaunalla. Mitään ongelmista ei viestitty etukäteen, ennen kuin itse ihmeteltiin, vaikka oli ollut jo tiedossa. Eihän kaikelle aina mitään voi, mutta melko kalliin hinnan majoituksessa odottaa saavansa rahalle vastinetta eikä camping-aluetunnelmaa. Olisi ollut mukavaa, jos olisi tarjottu jotain hyvitystä tilanteesta, edes kahvikupponen.

Relaxing holiday in the easternmost hotel of the continental EU
Pros:

The riverside location is excellent: 13 kilometers to the Petkeljärvi National Park, 6 kilometers to the historical Öykkösevaara battlegrounds and short walking distance (less than a kilometer) to the Möhkö Ironworks Museum and the Arboretum Möhkö. There is a good swimming pier along the river which is also a good fishing area. You can buy special fishing permits from the hotel and it is free to use a rowing boat. You get one free sauna bathing (1½ hours) in the wood-heated riverside sauna if you book at least three nights in the hotel. Our apartment (a small apartment named Sikki for 4 persons) was actually large and our kitchen was well equipped (a fridge, a microwave oven, a water kettle, a steamer and an electric wok). We also got a portable induction cooker (we had asked it in advance). Every apartment has an own entrance and the area is noiseless. It is also interesting that this is the easternmost hotel of the continental European Union.

Cons:

This accommodation looks more like an inn or an apartment hotel than a hotel. Our bathroom was very small and there wasn't any shampoo there (only liquid hand soap). Our apartment was very hot when there was a heat wave in Finland (daytime outside temperature +30 degrees Celsius). There were insect nests in ventilation windows and we got a portable fan but we missed a cooling pedestal, tower or floor fan.

Pros:

Huone oli siisti ja vuodevaatteet uudet. Sänky oli melko kapea. Kylpyhuone siisti mutta suihkusaippuapullo oli tyhjä. Oli helleaika joten huoneessa oli kuuma. Tuuletin auttoi hieman ja pelkällä pussilakanalla nukkuminen antoi kuitenkin ihan hyvät unet. Paikka tuntui hieman "päivittämättömältä"

Rauhallinen ja kotoisa majoituspaikka
Pros:

Rauhallinen ja erityinen paikka, keskellä kaunista Itä-Suomen luontoa joen varrella. Rannassa tunnelmallinen puulämmitteinen sauna, josta pääsi myös hyvin pulahtamaan jokeen pehmeiden löylyjen välissä. Ystävällinen palvelu, kotoisa ja lämmin tunnelma. Erinomaiset illalliset ja aamiaiset, mm. tuoreita yrttejä käyttäen, nokkoslettuja, kalaa, itsetehtyjä karjalanpiirakoita, spelttileipää ja -puuroa oman pellon viljoista. Rannasta löytyy vielä asiakkaiden käyttöön laavu ja tilauksesta savusauna.

Pros:

Mukava majapaikka lähellä Petkeljärven kansallispuistoa. Rauhallinen paikka ja hyvä huolenpito mm. runsas kotitekoinen aamupala ja ystävällinen palvelu. Illalla mahdollisuus rantasaunaan ja uintiin lähellä virtaavassa puhasvetisessä joessa.
