The place and the people are excellent. The garden is beautiful, and there's parking available. The shampoo and body wash come in large bottles and are not in small disposable containers, which is a plus especially since you're in Mérida, where the heat is intense and you might need to shower up to three times a day.
In my opinion, there's a lot of noise because events are held downstairs, and the rooms don't have proper soundproofing.
The property is beautiful they have peacocks on the ground a nice pool and play ground for your little one the patio view is beautiful especially at night the staff was great
We liked that it had free parking. Priced ok. Pictures dont reflect wear and tear and poor maintenance of the propertt and grounds. Ie: torn curtains, rusted bath fixtures, poor lighting, sewer smell in parts of the hotel.
Everything sucked and they scam you out of your money with the buffet situation.
.
Centric and beautiful and excellent restaurant
I like that it was walking distance from Paseo Montejo, but the installations need repairs, the seating area by the pool the cushions had horrible stains, some of the staff were nice others not so much, specially the bellboy at the entrance, we end up parking and getting out car from the parking just to avoid him, we find hair on the pillows when we got there, that lead us to believe that at least the pillow cases were not changed. The food was just ok, we definitely needed to go out to restaurants for good food.
The dolor wasnt working properly. The bathroom had a bad odor. I had been in this hotel 10 times. The location and service is great, the Best but the owner of the hotel has to put more effort on utilities and cleanleness. The bathroom at the pool full of cockroachs.
Overall, the hotel is OK. It's in a very convenient location. However, the rooms need better maintenance since our balcony door would not lock, and the towels were very old.
BASTANTE TRANQUILO, ME PARECIO MUY SEGURO Y ME ENCANTO LA LIMPIEZA ADEMAS DE TODO EL INMUEBLE, TAMBIÉN LA ZONA DEL JARDIN.
The property was very clean and offers a buffet. The bar is small and very limited on beverages. Over all I would stay here again
Nice area
The hotel was a great value! Room and balcony were huge! The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was very pleasant. The grounds were lovely. The pool is partially covered, they have peafoul which is fun, a small play area, hammocks and loungers. Parking was easy. The hotel is conveniently located and about a 10 block walk from Plaza Grande. There are other cute areas such as Parque St Lucia even closer. We had two queen size beds, a dining table, a couch, a counter and mini fridge. The bathroom was clean and spacious. There was a sulphur smell that we suspect was the water. We experience the same smell in certain areas of the US also. There is a restaurant onsite. It was pricey for the quality of the food. We suggest eating elsewhere but it is nice in a pinch. The towels were rather scratchy and not plush but we have found that to be common in the region. A note to non-Spanish speaking guests, much of the staff spoke Spanish only. However, the front desk staff spoke English and we communicated with the other staff with their limited English and our limited Spanish.
