Two nights stay for New Year break, friendly staff, good food & good value.

the staff were friendly and obliging, food was excellent, rooms were basic but adequate.

Lovely old property, excellent service & food. Comfy bed, good shower.

The hotel was old fashioned but lovely and clean. Our room was very cosy and overlooked the river. Lovely bar and very attentive staff. Excellent breakfast. Only 5 mins by car to Fakenham golf course and horse racecourse.

On check-in I was asked did I need assistance with my luggage I replied yes but was left to carry it up 4 small flights of stairs.

Friendly staff, room clean, meals great value for money, maybe could do with an update in certain areas, but overall value for money and an excellent base to explore Norfolk, good Thursday market in Fakenham

Hotel in excellent position, staff friendly and professional. Bed very comfortable, small double dog friendly room adequate. Would definitely return. Good breakfast included in price.

This property was in a great location and everything about it was good, room was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and the food was delicious. It was a great place to stay if you are going to the races.

Only observation was that the scrambled eggs were overdone and leatherly.

Very run down and in need of modernising. Very small rooms cluttered with furniture some of which could not be used because of other furniture stopping the drawers being opened. One breakfast was far from good and we had to ask for HOT tea and coffee. We waited nearly 15 mins for coast one slice of which was only done on one side.

The location is idle, staff are friendly. Limited parking.

The hotel while in need of renovation has some redeeming features. The service quality is outstanding, on par with any hotel I have ever stayed in. The food quality albeit being published grub style was well cooked and inexpensive. The breakfast has to be the one of the best ever, great variety and superbly cooked.
Would recommend friends and family.

My wife and I decided to stay at Wensum Lodge Hotel as it was our 1st time looking around Fakenham. The staff were excellent, and the food was lovely and good value for money.
The cooked breakfast in the morning was superb!!
Our only negative would be the mattress on the bed but overall it was a very pleasant experience.

We chose this hotel as it was close to racecourse (10 minute walk). Our room was comfortable and bathroom was clean but could do with some updating. Food is of a good standard and plentiful. We would stay again if in Fakenham.

The evening staff was very helpful. We enjoyed our breakfast and stay. Thank you.

Although maybe in need of an update in decor it was clean and tidy. The hosts could not have been more accommodating. Ideal one night stop over for visiting Christmas show nearby. Would stay again if visiting locally. The bar food is excellent and good value for money.

Staff were friendly and helpful but this hotel has seen better days and needs upgrading and modernising.
