A unique stay in Puerto Viejo!
Pros:

Umami is a lovely modern and clean hotel in a great location. It’s a few minutes of walk from the restaurants, shops and the beach. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and helped us organise a transfer back to San Jose. A big thank you to Ray and the team. The breakfast at the hotel was also great. We’d recommend Umami if you’re in Puerto Viejo!

A lovely boutique hotel. Staff are very friendly. We had a suite with a balcony and it was well worth the money.
Pros:

Good location Close to the centre but slightly set back. The hotel is small but very beautifully laid out.

Cons:

Pool is tiny but that didn’t bother us

Pros:

Beautiful property and staff. The room was big, spacious and comfortable. As it's adults only a much older demographic stay here (I'm 39). Laundry service was great and nice information about tours and things to do around the area. Found the staff endlessly helpful.

Cons:

The free breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about. I had a massage which was a little mediocre for the price. Unfortunately they had some unusual wifi issues whilst I was there due to recent storms.

Excellent séjour de 9 nuits.
Pros:

L’hôtel est très bien situé : au calme et pourtant en plein cœur de Puerto Viejo. Tout est accessible à pied en quelques minutes. Un service de prestations tour Operator pour des activités est proposé à la réception et le staff gère très bien. Le personnel est adorable. Et ma chambre avec terrasse privée au rez de chaussée vue piscine était parfaite : belle, tout confort, spacieuse. Salle de bain parfaite toute en pierre. Je recommande.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and plan to return. The positives far outweighed the negatives.

The staff was courteous and professional. I enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was very good.

The refrigerator didn't work, there were no phones, and the shower wasn't private.

Que la salida sea a las 12 medio día debería ser tipo 3 de la tarde para cumplir las 24 horas de hospedaje 🙏

La ubicación es cómoda, y la habitación está muy limpia

Cons:

El desayuno está normal. Por su precio me esperaba mayor flexibilidad porque te dan 3 opciones de platos de desayuno pero no puedes modificar nada de su contenido. Yo cogía el vegetariano pero traía nachos, con chile y garbanzos y si le quitas eso no te lo sustituyen por más pan o aguacate. (Un día si me dieron, los otros dos no). En cuánto a las bebidas sólo incluye 1 bebida, o zumo o café cuando normalmente te incluyen ambas opciones( la otra si la quieres la tienes que pagar). Yogurt o similar es de pago. Luego los chicos de la recepción bastante antipáticos todos (los de la cafetería muchísimo más agradables, con ellos muy bien). El agua de la piscina que es fría. La piscina luce mucho en las fotos pero no se presta tanto allí. Las camas de la piscina sólo son de dos habitaciones por lo que en general no se pueden usar.
