Crookston Hotel 9/10, booking.com 5/10.
Pros:

Friendly staff, pleasant room, nice lounge area.

Cons:

No restaurant due to renovation, limited bar. Not clear from booking.com website. further issues with unavailability of hot water in room led to being without hot shower for 2 days. Hotel responded admirably but better warning when booking would have helped.

Never again!
Pros:

The female staff were friendly and the bed wasn’t too bad

Cons:

I requested a room upgrade when I heard that there would be no food served this weekend, this was declined. This didn’t stop senior management buttering up the their invited guests with food and drinks. The room was awful with no thought given to the renovation. Window wouldn’t close, poor lighting, only one spare plug socket and no toilet, thankfully I was next to the toilet and had the joy of having to listen to other people’s bowl movements. I think I would of had a more comfortable few night in Barlinnie!

Overall positive stay
Pros:

Nicely decorated, clean and fresh room. Comfy beds, safe and sound feeling.

Cons:

Shower was ice cold, presumably an issue from recent renovations? And we were disappointed by the fact the room still cost the same despite the complimentary breakfast being unavailable due to kitchen renovations.

We stayed in the family room which was lovely and comfortable and the place is ever nice with lovely friendly staff.
Pros:

Liked everything.

Cons:

Only that the kitchen is closed for refurbishment but we knew that before we went. We will be going back though so looking forward to trying the food

A welcoming stay.
Pros:

A straightforward place to stay before going to Ross Hall Hospital next morning. It met my needs. Friendly, clean and tidy. Look forward to seeing its refurbishment when I am back at the end of October.
