An ideal location just 5 minutes from the town centre with parking. Perfect facilities for my husband who uses a mobility scooter - ground floor, walk in shower, space to charge scooter in the room. Delicious breakfasts and evening meal - Nepalese curries in particular. Warm friendly welcome and offers of any help from Raz, Susie, Karen, Bina.

Owners very lovely and room was lovely. Good fantastic
Nothing
Smoked Haddock and poached egg breakfast as good/ better than many ‘posh’ hotels.
All ok. Everything worked.
fantastic holiday at ormonde house hotel great food and service as always spotlessly clean dog friendly family run always very helpful been staying here for over 20 years always a five star experience
Very friendly family run. Great parking, 8 minutes into the heart of town. 5 minutes walk into the New Forest
The was room was too hot although the room had a fan there was no ventilation, If we were to book again we would only book a room with view.
The Breakfast was really nice and plentiful.
The staff were great and very helpful
Heat in the room,
no ventilation,
no window view
staff all friendly and very helpful
room was very hot even with fans so didnt sleep well bed was comfy
It is well situated but on a busy main road. Double glazed windows so we slept well. Pretty garden and pergola to sit under. Room was very large very clean and comfortable and well provided as was the en-suite. It is a family run hotel and the staff were lovely kind and helpful. The food was delicious and well cooked and presented. Would definitely recommend and will return ourselves.
I personally would have just liked a less heavy dessert on the menu ie : perhaps a fruity one
Brilliant location
Disappointing room - broken fan (which was replaced the next day), light fittings not working in bathroom so main lights had to be used, which was disturbing when using in the night. It was reported but sadly not fixed during our stay and no explanation as to why was offered, neither was an alternative room offered.
Also the shower holder kept collapsing, spraying water around the bathroom and so needed to be held, leaving only 1 hand to shower with. This seems to have been flagged as an issue from October but still hasn't been rectified. Along with watered down shower gel, didn't give a great impression or justify the price we paid.
We didn't try the restaurant as orders were asked to be placed with 1hrs advance notice for evening meals which seemed an excessive amount of time for a professional kitchen. Breakfast had to be ordered the night before. Many other restaurants in walking distance all managed to cook food to order without needing so much notice.
Our visit was lovely 😍 we felt very welcome. Everything was organised and went like clockwork. We had a ground floor room , because we both have mobility disabilities
Beautiful shower with lovely handles . Staff were so helpful and friendly ☺️. Breakfast was fresh and well cooked. Bed very comfortable
Will definitely stay there again
There was nothing.
Spacious room, lovely staff
Hard to get a taxi from location. Full English could be little bigger
Location to Lyndhurst, clean and nicely decorated, big rooms, friendly staff and breakfast was good. Very relaxing sitting on the patio.
No aircon, but that’s not the hotels fault that it was so hot the weekend we stayed.
Spent 2 nights here during heatwave.
A welcoming hotel, family-run. Staff friendly, and very helpful at all times.
Very comfortable rooms, lovely bathrooms, spotlessly clean.
Food excellent, very freshly prepared, generous. Separate authentic curry menu!
The hotel is not air-conditioned but fans are provided in all rooms.
We did have a problem the first night as a neighbouring property had left their dogs outside at night and there was a lot of barking. A word with the manager and the neighbours were asked to keep dogs inside, which they did.
Two small things which would improve the stay - some bottled water in the room would have been nice (although jugs of fresh water and glasses are freely provided at mealtimes so you could take some to your room) and a non-slip mat in the shower cubicle would be useful for older guests.
Other than that, an excellent stay.
