Shoji Mount Hotel

This hotel and its fabulous staff was a rare a wonderful three day treasure in our three week adventure through Japan. From the excellent Japanese breakfast and dinners, the spacious and sweetly kitted out onsen, and the incredibly patient, sincere and generous staff members, Mount Shoji Hotel exceeded our every expectation. Beyond the 1970s aesthetic is genuine and heartfelt attention to detail and guests' care. Our balcony room offered us a commanding view of Mt Fuji, a breathtaking sight to wake to on our first morning. Whilst dated, our room facilities were very clean, comfortable and included a wonderful window spa. The true beauty of Mount Shoji Hotel is not just it's excellent location for keen hikers, nature lovers and Fuji sightseers. It's its people. Mount Shoji Hotel oozes old school love.

私たちの3週間にわたる日本旅行の中で、マウント富士ホテル（精進湖畔）はまさに宝石のような存在でした。このホテルと素晴らしいスタッフの皆さんとの3日間は、忘れられない特別な思い出です。

美味しい和朝食と夕食、広々として心地よい温泉、そして何よりも忍耐強く、誠実で温かいスタッフの皆さんのおかげで、私たちの期待をはるかに超える滞在となりました。

1970年代を感じさせる趣のある建物の奥には、お客様一人ひとりへの細やかな気配りと、心からのおもてなしがあります。

バルコニー付きのお部屋からは雄大な富士山を一望でき、滞在初日の朝、その息をのむような景色で目覚めた瞬間は一生忘れられません。

設備には多少の年月を感じますが、お部屋はとても清潔で快適でした。窓際のお風呂も素晴らしく、とても癒されました。

マウント富士ホテル（精進湖畔）の魅力は、ハイキングや自然、富士山観光に最適な立地だけではありません。

何よりも、このホテルを特別な場所にしているのは「人」です。

De locatie is prachtig, het is er heerlijk rustig en het uitzicht is fenomenaal. Het is ook superleuk om echt Japans te slapen op een futon in een Tatami kamer.

Albergo bellissimo in posizione perfetta per vedere il monte fuji. Peccato ci fosse nebbia! Nonostante tutto il soggiorno è andato oltre le aspettative. La camera che abbiamo scelto è in stile classico, divisa in tre ambienti e un comodo bagno. È fornita di tatami e 'futon' e di un bellissimo salottino con vista sul lago e sul Fuji. Ci hanno fornito anche i classici e comodi yukata per tutta la permanenza. Abbiamo scelto di cenare e fare la colazione classica e ci è piaciuto molto. Inoltre il personale è gentile e disponibile. La cosa più bella di tutte è l'onsen. Consiglio vivamente questo bellissimo hotel

정~말 좋았습니다. 첫날과 둘째날은 후지산뷰가 아니어서 아쉬웠는데 마지막 날 구름이 걷히고 후지산이 보이니 정말 백만불짜리 뷰입니다. 바로 앞에 쇼치코 호수에 내려가 후지산을 바라보는 경험은 최고입니다.
스태프 분들 모두 친절하십니다. 고바야시님은 호텔 앞에 '핫스팟' 드라마 관련 장소도 알려주시고 사진도 찍어주셨습니다.
깔끔한 조식도 매우 훌륭합니다. 드라마 '핫스팟'을 보고 방문했는데, 위치가 정말 최고입니다. 단풍이 드는 가을에 다시 방문하고 싶습니다.

Excellent location, it faces mount Fuji and it's 200m or less to the lake side.

If Kawaguchiko is like a students hostel at the start of summer... Utter madhouse and lake Shoji is like a zen garden.

I went for astrophotography so I'll share pics taken from my balcony. Speaking of which, I requested for a room facing the lake for astrophotography and they kindly gave me one on the top floor with the best view. All pictures from my room, except for one from dining.

Wagyu dinner was amazing. Spacious bedroom with great views.
It's an old hotel, but kept clean.
Away from the tourist masses and we had own car so could explore independently as it has limited bus schedules.

El lugar es paradisiaco y el alojamiento fantástico. Con todo tipo de detalles. La atención del personal fue muy amable y con muchas atenciones, súper agradables. Para repetir!!

Incredible location which turned out to be iconic due to a recent aliens show. Beautiful unobstructed view on Fuji, very pleasant restaurant nearby, possible to walk to Aokigahara forest.
