Good location and history but management need to look into service standard and value packages

Cons:

It’s an understaffed property I guess. Service was not good due to lack of employees . We needed to wait for 40-50 min in the cafe shop for our servings. One person was taking orders cleaning tables and serving foods and we were told that inside staff were also limited
One more thing that we did not liked . When we booked it through booking.com in the package it offered us certain discount on SPA, food and beverages. But when we went to all of these we get to know that there are lot of conditions to avail that. Guests do not book rooms looking at the extra discount offered on the food beverages and SPA. When you offer it offer it clearly so people can avail without so many preconditions and segmentation or don’t offer it at all. Guest who are paying $ 150-200 for room they don’t go there for the mere discount on food or in beverages or on spa. But when they feel confused and they feel non transparency while applying the discount it gives a bad feeling .

Overall Mayfair Kalimpong is great as I have been here before as well.
Pros:

The view and the huge rooms were amazing.

Cons:

Everything was great although there was some items like an Iron and iron table were missing. The F&B manager and his subordinate were arguing with about a an extra bill they charged me due to a dispute in their system. The reception staff Upama was very grateful and helped in resolving it. I suggest that the F&B manger and his subordinate go for a training on how to deal with customers. This whole confusion and argument ruined the experience to some degree.

Overall it was a great stay
Pros:

The rooms are huge and there is a touch of heritage everywhere. Chef Sanjeev is very good with non veg specifically with egg delicacies in breakfast

Cons:

Even if the rooms are empty they denied for early check in.

Like a dream!
Pros:

The Mayfair Himalayan Spa Resort in Kalimpong has a dreamy appearance. The bright pink colours, the heritage cottages, the manicured lawn and plants, and the view of the mountain range in front.
1. It is possible to spend many quality hours just sitting at the lawn, sipping on Darjeeling tea and taking in the view of the mountains.
2. The room was huge, and the bathroom too. We had booked for 3 persons and 1 child in one room, so we were provided a cot on request, which was just about comfortable. Since I paid an additional Rs. 10,000/- I was expecting separate bed facilities, but that was not to be.
3. We availed the spa, and it was really great value-for-money and refreshing.
4. Family-friendly pool and variety of indoor games on offer.

Cons:

1. The breakfast was good, but lacked the indulgence of an usual 5-star property.
2. Food was great to taste, but were a tad too expensive.
