Such a beautiful location! Great hosts!

Glenda and Peter were very welcoming and hospitable. The room was very clean and had everything you could need . Breakfast was delicious and location was quiet but convenient.

One of the absolute highlights of our journey through Sri Lanka was staying at the Plantation House and having the privilege of meeting its remarkable owners, Peter and Glenda. From the moment we arrived, we felt less like guests and more like friends, warmly welcomed by a team whose care, professionalism, and attention to detail were evident in every interaction.

Mornings at the Plantation House were unforgettable. Peter’s breakfasts (and soft jazz) were nothing short of exceptional thoughtfully curated, beautifully presented, and among the finest meals we enjoyed anywhere in the country. They set the tone for each day and quickly became something we genuinely looked forward to.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and impeccably maintained, offering a perfect blend of charm and relaxation. The pool provided a tranquil retreat after busy days exploring, and the property itself felt wonderfully secure, with a dedicated guard on site who was always available to assist with anything we needed. Convenient tuk tuk parking made getting around Hikkaduwa effortless, adding another layer of ease to our stay.

The location strikes an ideal balance, close enough to easily access all the amenities and attractions of Hikkaduwa, yet tucked away just far enough to remain peaceful and private. Peter’s decades of experience in the hospitality industry shine through in every detail, making the Plantation House not just a place to stay, but a destination in its own right.

Our family fell in love with the property, the people, and Sri Lanka as a whole. We left with full hearts, lasting memories, and a strong desire to return.

Schon beim Betreten des Plantation House spürt man eine tolle Atmosphäre und eine uneingeschränkte Gastfreundschaft. Peter und seine Frau sind positiv interessiert an den Gästen und das Frühstück ist phänomenal. Peter zelebriert die Speisenfolge. Lasst Euch überraschen! Strand und Restaurants ist fußläufig erreichbar alternativ mietet man ein Tuktuk.

Everything!! Amazing place to stay. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.

Hotellet ligger dejligt (ikke inde i centrums larm, men gå afstand dertil). Ejerne (et ældre par fra England) er enormt søde og hjælpsomme.

Wow, what a lovely place. As soon as you come through the gates you enter a beautiful, tranquil, calming space, the garden, pool and surrounding area is truely lovely.

The house to is lovely, welcoming, beautifully furnished, open space down stairs.
Our room and ensuite were immaculately clean, bright, spacious, welcoming, nicely furnished. The bed was really comfortable, air conditioning and fan were great. The fridge with fresh milk is a really nice touch. There was always plenty of hot water.

The balcony is a really good size with comfortable seating.

Peter our host was a true gentleman, welcoming, friendly, chatty. He really has a zeal and zest for life and that shows through his interest in his guests and his amazing, delicious breakfasts. Wow what a culinary delight they were.

The house is a little way out of the main town, however it is walkable to the beach, restaurants and shops. And there is always a tuk tuk.

Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay and hope to come back.

Un paradis sur terre ! Le temps était suspendu, tout était parfait : chambre confortable, douche chaude et agréable, piscine très propre, endroit tres calme. Le must : un petit déjeuner comme je n'en avais jamais mangé. Merci pour ce petit bijou. N'hésitez pas.

WOW!!! It was so freaking beautiful! A large nice garden view from the balcony and a refreshing pool. The room itself was very clean and had everything you need like a hair dryer, hooks in the bathroom, a safe, a small table…. Location was perfect for us because it was so quiet. Notice that it is not directly at the main road and beach though. In the morning we had an exceptional breakfast and even earlier than usual because we had to leave. Thank you!! It is more expensive than other options but with everything we got there it was really worth it!! The owners make you feel very welcome!

Tolle herzliche Begrüssung. Peter ist ein großartiger Gastgeber. Das Frühstück war ein Traum. Jeden Tag zauberte Peter und seine Angestellten wohl das beste Frühstück, was wir bisher in Sri Lanka hatten...5 Sterne Niveau.
Tolle Ausflugtipps. Schöne, saubere Zimmer.
Kurze Tuk Tuk Fahrt vom belebten Hikkaduwa entfernt. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt.

Hält genau was es verspricht und man fühlt sich sehr gut aufgehoben. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und sorgen für einen super angenehmen Aufenthalt. Das Frühstück variiert jeden Morgen und schmeckt ausgezeichnet. Es gibt einen TukTuk Service, der jederzeit erreichbar ist.
