Hotel Gemini Self Check-IN

Terrible experience – absolutely unacceptable. Do not recommend.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. We booked a room at Hotel Gemini Self Check-IN in Düsseldorf for two nights, from 17 to 19 September, but were unable to access our room because the card provided for self-check-in did not work.

There was nobody on-site to help us, and we could not reach anyone by phone, chat, or SMS, despite repeatedly trying to resolve the situation. We were left stranded without access to the accommodation we had paid for and ultimately had to find another hotel.

What made the experience even worse was the hotel's subsequent response. They claimed that assistance was available, despite the fact that nobody was there to help us and we were unable to reach anyone through any of their contact channels. This was incredibly frustrating and felt like an attempt to deny what had actually happened rather than take responsibility for it.

A self-check-in hotel should, at the very least, ensure that guests can access their rooms and provide a reliable way to get help when something goes wrong. Neither of these basic requirements was met.

The whole experience was stressful, costly, and completely unacceptable. We paid for accommodation we could not use, received no assistance when we needed it, and were then confronted with claims that did not reflect our actual experience. And they refused to give us a refund!

I would strongly advise against booking this hotel. Terrible service, no accountability, and a complete lack of respect for guests. Avoid at all costs.

Tous tres tres mauvaise experience jamais vecu en 30 ans d'hôtels, mais surtout leur homme de ménage un fou furieux et psychopathe avec une agressivite inoui du jamais vu. A 11h40, Il est rentré qui sans verifier ni frapper a la porte. Je lui ai demandé gentiment 2 mn le temps de ramasser mes affaires et que je nai pas fait attentiona l'heurede départqui était 11h. Il n'a rien voulu comprendre, il a retiré la carte magnétique et m'a demandé agressivement"tu sors maintenant" en criant comme un détraqué. Il a gardé la porte ouverte et m'avait refusé l'intimité pour ramasseur mes affaires. Il n'a pas arrêté de me menacer d'appeler la police alors que je ramasser mes affaires. Il voulait même me frapper.
Je ne comprends comment Boonking pourrait garder un tel hôtel dans sa liste et ne pas protéger ses adhérents de Tel agissements.

La ubicación es central,.solo que la calle que va a la estación es un poco sola, sin embargo la ubicación del hotel es genial porque te conecta con el transporte público.

You need to pay for the city tax (it is stated also in Booking, but it is always good to be reminded). The curtains didn't cover the whole window (wrong width and length). For some reason the emergency exit was in my room. I don't like when the hotel only offers packs of soap and shampoo. It is hard to open them in the shower. But that's just my personal preference.

There was an unexpected charge when i picked up my key, but maybe that's because I was late in my arrival.
The lack of a minifridge in summer is also a small minus, but I went fine without one for a week.

Das WLAN Passwort, war unter einer Lampe auf einem kleinen Zettel versteckt. Es gab kein “Bitte nicht stören” Schild, oder einen Hinweis wie man dies signalisieren kann.

Die Lage wirkte besonders abends etwas unheimlich, tagsüber war jedoch vieles gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Für anreisende Gäste wäre es schön gewesen, wenn eine Flasche Wasser bereitgestanden hätte. Außerdem hätten wir uns grundlegende Pflegeprodukte wie Seife, Waschlotion und Shampoo gewünscht
