Pros:

Easy check in, great location, clean room, comfy bed. Always our favourite spot to stay when we stop in on our way down to Brisbane!

Cons:

When getting drinks at the bar, bar staff are dismissive and cold to tourists as opposed to locals. Example, waited a few mins to order a drink - bar staff was talking to locals, glanced at me, kept talking to locals, then when I was about to walk out, asked what I wanted. Happened a few times, bit off-putting especially given you'd think country towns are welcoming to tourists/passer-bys.

A fresh breath of the past.
Pros:

The rustic style inside and out and the attention to detail.

Cons:

A little dark on the inside. Perhaps a chord attached to the bottom of the canvass shade, top or bottom, on the window. Same as bathroom curtain.

Clean and comfy but noisy.
Pros:

The location was great, right in the middle of town & within walking distance of the local club and a pub for dinner. A laundromat down the road. There is a bar attached to the motel for those who enjoy a drink. Bed was comfy, shower hot. Plenty of room. We were given a ground floor room as requested. A/c kept the room nice and cool. Overall clean and comfy. The local Merino bakery is awesome.

Cons:

Had to get the room keys from the bar staff. Our room was just next to the stairwell and adjacent to the carpark, so could hear people going up & down all night. The kitchen are was very small and not planned well. Ants around the bin. A bit dated, could use a small table & chairs to sit down.
