Genuinely charming and cozy hotel in the heart of chamonix
Pros:

Central, but quiet location. Comfortable rooms. Lots of thoughtful touches, including little bottles of water in the room every day. Highly professional and friendly management. Good quality breakfast. Being greeted at the door by Happy the Border Terrier.

Litet men väldigt trevligt hotell med perfekt läge
Pros:

Ett litet, personligt hotell med bra läge en tvärgata från bruset i staden. Bara 10 rum. Frukostbuffén var liten men med allt du behöver och med lokala specialiteter. Rummet städades varje dag och allt var rent och fräscht överallt. Skidförråd på bottenplan. Läget är perfekt eftersom man kan gå till den första äggliften som tar en upp i systemet. Det tar ca 10 min och är förvisso en ganska lång backe till liftstationen men det är betydligt bättre än att vänta på skidbussen som går 5 min promenad från boendet. Den är ibland full och ibland med inställda turer. Närheten till staden, restauranger och barer är också väldigt bekvämt. Parkering finns utanför hotellet men nyttjade vi inte. Bussen från Geneve till Chamonix ligger vid centralstationen ca 15 min promenad från hotellet.

Cons:

Vi är nöjda med precis allting. Trevlig personal som tar hand om både hotellet och dess gäster på bästa sätt.

Hotel du Clocher was wonderful! It was clean, cozy, and an authentic experience. And we especially loved the pup who greeted us every day!

A wonderful base for a Chamonix visit
Pros:

The location is superb- easy walk to the centre of town and easy walk to poma lift and telecabine to Brevent ski area. Pkenty of shops, bars, restaurants and a supermarket are just a few minutes walk.

The staff were exceptional and very knowledgeable. Their dog, Happy, is a charmer.

Cons:

The room was a bit small for us although the layout was very space efficient.

The bed could’ve been a little more comfy - but otherwise truly no other complaints. We’ll definitely be staying here again!
