Absolutely AWFUL staff, as soon as I walked in Jannette the manager looked at me like I was a piece of dirt on the bottom of her shoe, me and my partner had booked to stay for the night, I said I’ve come to check in she said “I’m not checking you in” when I asked why she said ”I don’t need to give YOU a reason” my money had been taken out of my bank so I requested it back she told me she had not got my money and it was through hotels.com so I rang to sort it whilst still in the pub as I said I’m not going until I have my money back as she refused me with no reason when hotels.com tried to contact her to confirm this she didn’t answer and cut the phone lines off. I still do not have my money 3 days later.

Pros:

Hotel is above a very noisy pub. If you want to actually sleep I’d advise not staying in this hotel. Live band playing on night we stayed and we were on the top floor and it was still very loud. People drunk outside at all hours through the middle of the night shouting arguing and fighting. Wooden window frames rattled all night long which kept us awake too. We booked the superior room but I’d say it was less than average. You have to walk through the bar to check into the hotel at the side of the bar. I’d say it was all locals as they seemed to stare a lot! We were charged twice for our room. Had to query this after checking my credit card bill and go back down and ask for a refund. The young girl behind the bar didn’t even know what she was doing and had to call somebody to ask if she could refund me. No toiletries in the bathroom. Only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that the meal we had in the restaurant was gorgeous food.
Wouldn’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend to anybody unless u basically want to stay in a night club.
