It was very convenient stop for us at a very competitive price

A very pleasant, good value stay.
Pros:

The rooms were clean and spacious. The pub was very friendly with a great evening menu, very reasonably priced.

Cons:

Toilet roll holder fell off the wall and hiy my friend in the head! Few bits of snagging required to the decor in room. Wall paper coming off in places.

Location was central to the small town .

Cons:

We didn't like anything about the accommodation
It was up a very narrow rickety staircase, the handrail didn't feel safe. The entire place has a feel of dilapidation, tardiness, at ten o'clock at night after looking at the kettle and considering our options, we packed our things and went miles away to find an alternative.
I'm surprised anyone has the audacity to let this room to guests, it would really only qualify as doss house accommodation. It would be impossible to make a quick exit in any emergency .
If you have any standard at all in the accomodation you require, you'd really not want to book this .

You get what you pay for.
Pros:

Good location for family celebration
Bed was clean and comfy
Staff replaced broken kettle quickly and were very welcoming

Cons:

Poor condition of decor - peeling wallpaper and holes in wall, mould in numerous other areas of the landing joining other family staying.

Staff rude, except cleaner. Bed had springs coming through. No fan in bathroom. Got there after long journey 2 mins past

Bloody awful.
Pros:

The sheets on the bed were clean as were the towels but that was only good thing

Cons:

The mould and smell in the room my sons were staying in was over powering . My room not so bad. Stairs to rooms were a death trap and I’m 63 with arthritis.Could not use ironing board as covered in mould and iron unusable. Wall behind ironing board disgusting.
No breakfast included and food didn’t start until 11 check out was 10.00 !!
Luckily we were at a family party so literally only slept there thank god
Shower in morning could not regulate it was either boiling or freezing cold
Sink still had some was hair from someone shaving in it previously
Probably the worst hotel we have ever stayed in
Not worth the price we paid

Pros:

This is a good clean basic hotel, value for money and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Drinks are a reasonable price too. Well done

Handy location for event in Memorial Hall.

Cons:

Unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Stairs are very steep and small treads. They are similar to a spiral staircase with tight bends.

2 and a bit flights to the top of the building. I was in the attic room, so I needed assistance with the case.

Staff helpful.

Pros:

The location is convenient. The bar staff were friendly.

Cons:

Narrow stairs to access. Room was dirty. Room was basic and in need of redecoration and repair. I informed them and left early.
