Very poor for the price. Wouldn’t recommend.

Room was absolutely freezing, cups left for morning tea had a top lip covered in old coffee stains. This was our 2nd visit because no-one else was available won't go again. Have already booked somewhere else for next visit.

Definitely not the Ritz but comfortable and friendly
Pros:

The staff were friendly and the room, while initially very cold, was fitted with a heater that warmed the room while I was out. The food was very nice. The steak with the hot rocks! Winner every time!

Poor cleanliness and overall bad experience
Pros:

I really appreciated the brunette lady who helped with our booking – she was friendly, accommodating, and genuinely lovely to deal with. The food was also amazing, beautifully cooked and full of flavour.

Cons:

The room was very poorly cleaned, with dust, cobwebs, and hairs left behind, and there was no TV remote despite asking staff. The bed was rock hard and uncomfortable, giving us one of the worst nights’ sleep we’ve had in a hotel. Flies were everywhere, especially while eating, which completely ruined the dining experience.

Pros:

The staff were really friendly and helpful, it had potential. The bedding,room and towels seemed clean.

Cons:

The decor was poor the small bed lumpy , it smelt of cigarette smoke including the clean towels and the toilet seemed blocked.

ein historisches Pub, das Ganze sehr englisch.
die Treppe nach oben extrem eng, gewunden und steil, für evtl. größeres Gepäck nicht wirklich geeignet,
Zimmer neu gerichtet, aus Raumgründen Waschbecken im Zimmer, Dusche, Wc und Handwaschbecken en suite. Breites Doppelbett mit guter Matratze.

Lovely people,but room wasn’t up to standard
Pros:

Did not have breakfast because it was in a box,
The staff were lovely friendly and helpful.
The place was central and near a bus stop

Cons:

The room was difficult to get to as it was steep and twisted ,
The room smelt musty but that could be because it was an old building,
The room wasn’t really ready for me,there wasn’t any towels,the dispensers hadn’t been filled up,and there was a beer mug mug in the bedside drawer,
The other thing which wasn’t in their control was that the town clock goes off every quarter hour even through the night,and as my room was quite close to it I didn’t get much sleep.

Disappointed didn’t sleep well at all.
Pros:

The food was good.

Cons:

The room was dirty looking and damp. Bed mattress looked like it’s been shredded and just covered with a clean sheet. Wallpaper peeling of and walls dirty. Carpet dirty. No on site parking as suggested in advertisement. Had to park up the road and pay to park and being on a fishing trip had to leave kit in car but didn’t feel safe to (very disappointed).

Would expect a full refund.
