Just had three days The Manor to celebrate my daughters wedding, what can I say what perfect hosts Mick and Sarah were, they’ve only taken over the hotel just recently and how well they’ve turned it round, we’ve been using it for over 10 years whilst on holiday down in Dorset, and noticed how run down it was becoming, well it’s now back to its best, great food, great beers, welcoming staff, spotlessly clean, they look after over 80 wedding guests over 3 days, a special thank you goes out to Emma from Ivy Heart events, the wedding planner she made everything run like a Swiss watch, she covered everything down to the last detail. Thanks again to Mick,Sarah all the staff and not forgetting Emma, hopefully see you all next year.
I had a wonderful stay at The Manor Hotel, West Bexington, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
From the moment I arrived, I received such a warm welcome. It’s a lovely family-run hotel, and that personal touch really shines through. Every member of the team was friendly, welcoming and genuinely made me feel at home throughout my stay.
The location is simply beautiful. My room was incredibly comfortable with stunning sea views, and waking up to the coastline each morning was a real highlight. The beach is just a short walk away, making it perfect for a peaceful stroll.
I also loved spending time in the quiet, relaxing garden with a glass of wine – the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the area.
Breakfast each morning was freshly prepared, delicious and a wonderful start to the day.
If you’re looking for a peaceful coastal retreat with exceptional hospitality, comfortable rooms and breathtaking views, I can’t recommend The Manor Hotel highly enough. I’ll definitely be returning.
We took our family for lunch to celebrate an 80th Birthday and had the most wonderful time. The food was delicious and good value, perfect for Summer time.. The garden is full of gorgeous flowers with a view of the sea that’s hard to beat. The new owners are so friendly and welcoming we wish them all the best with their new business and will definitely be going back. Thank you.
We had the most marvellous stay at this beautiful hotel. We stayed at the beginning of July when the new owners were still putting it all together, somehow they managed to pull this off and find a way to put their guests first all of the time.
We could write forever about the lovely location, the beautiful views, so close to the beach, first class food and an excellent cooked-to-order breakfast. But what sets this place apart is the owners and staff, the approach that nothing is too much trouble, the care and attention they give to their guests, and a desire to ensure you treasure every moment of your stay.
We travel from Portsmouth to this pub as often as possible because the food is the best. Very good service with friendly staff. Someone else has taken over the hotel and restaurant and they are doing a bar menu for the moment and the food is divine.
We have just returned from a wonderful stay at The Manor.
The new owners and team are exceptional and made the visit so welcoming with everyone going that extra yard which is so positive.
There are 2 outdoor seating areas and around 2 acres of land where well behaved dogs can exercise and stay in rooms.
Our room had a great sea view that was really good to wake up to in the morning.
The bar serves some very nice local beers including Otter Bitter (3.6%).
The food we had in the evening was very well prepared and tasty, the piece of steak I had was the best for a long time and was perfectly medium rare.
Full marks to everyone there and much success for the future.
I think the food is far better than the photos I saw online
We stayed for two nights after having cycled past and wondering if there was accomodation avalible.
We had a truly wonderful stay. The building is a atmospheric gem with wonderfull gardens to sit amongst whilst having a drink or meal looking out at the beautiful vista.
Our bedrooms where comfortable and fairly priced.
The new owners Sarah,Mick and family bringing their collective lovely energy to this old and important local building.
We ate dinner on both nights Sarah is an excellent cook, she knows her stuff offering very tasty quailty understated food.
A rare find
A short weekend stay at the wonderful Manor house hotel in West Bexington. Sarah and Anna have the knack of making all their guests feel special. Their genuine warmth rubs off on everyone staying there. We didn’t want to leave!
Family business with heart and soul
Wow what a stunningly beautiful place. We sat on the terrace with an expansive Seaview. Friendly hosts who have just taken over Sarah, Anna and Mick We had lunch which was a very tasty twist on a faccacia ham and cheese toastie. Served beautifully with accompanying salad and condiments. Dog friendly.
Great location and views. The staff were excellent
It was pretty run down and as it was about to close for renovations there was now cooked food service .
Old English guest house near the sea
No restaurant. Tiny showers. Lack of staff. Shambolic administration. Awful communication with guests.
For they told us the day before arrival that the kitchen was closed , so no restaurant for evening dinner and no hot breakfast , both of which we relied on when booking, a group needing four bedrooms, this did not give us the opportunity to cancel and cost us £50 per night in unwanted taxis. Supplied “continental breakfast “ was derisory and for some later arrived guests non existent as not replenished. One night the bar tender suddenly closed the bar 5 minutes after guests received a nightcap and literally told the 8 guests there to leave, retire to the lounge where we discovered only seating for six. Also derisory was an offer of a £4 discount for the breakfast situation.
So we had to waste time and energy contacting Red Cat head office to resolve things, not what you want when on holiday. There is more but what is the point as they are selling the business within days.
Comfortable and cosy. Good parking
The biggest problem was that there was no bar and no restaurant and no warning of this closure.
Staff member we met on arrival and at dinner was welcoming and helpful. Location was beautiful with great views. We were also given an upgrade on our room so that was very spacious and comfortable.
Great location with sea views, very picturesque.
It needed some TLC and a good clean, there was lots of cobwebs hanging from the ceilings!
Location . Friendly staff
