Unique experience, inexpensive, good location
Luggage stores in lockers downstairs from sleeping area, a tiny bit inconvenient
Esperienza da fare, molto pulito e vicino a tutto
L'unica pecca che alle 11 devi smammare, devono pulire....
I really didn't enjoy my stay at this hostel. First of all, you aren't allowed to bring your suitcase into the room at all. You have to move your things into a tiny locker on the shower floor, and if you need anything from your suitcase, you have to ask the staff to bring it to you. It was incredibly annoying and inconvenient, especially since there is actually plenty of room for luggage in the rooms. There is simply no place in the entire hostel where you can actually open and organize your suitcase.
Second, the showers have a disgusting sewage smell, even though they look relatively clean. The shower door opens inward, and they put a shelf right where it opens, so it’s almost impossible to get out without touching something—which is pretty gross. Also, while it's nice that there are toilets in the rooms, there is no soap by the sink, so you have to go all the way downstairs just to wash your hands.
Great location, clean facilities
The pictures when I booked it. Expecting a kind funny Japanese hostel to have a night the “pod” experience.
Here’s a polished and punchier version:
“The property is a masterclass in deception. From the outside, it looks fantastic hostel vibe, then you step inside and suddenly you’re on the set of a low-budget Squid Game spinoff. The bathroom slash locker room gave strong ‘abandoned football pee smelling changing room’ energy. And then there’s the receptionist. When checking in: all smiles, lovely, wonderful. When checking out: she transformed into a fee-adding demon, slapping charges on everything like her life depended on it. By far the most unpleasant person I’ve encountered in Japan so far. 👺”
The location was very good
That you can walk in and get to the sleep pods without a keycard the ones on the ground floor don’t know about the other floors
It was quirky, we have always wanted to try the capsules, it was clean, tidy & quiet at night.
No room in the locker area if others around you were in there locker too.
Pillows were not comfortable so we didn’t get much sleep, but that’s just what we are used to.
- The sleep pods were futuristic looking and cool. Spacious. The sleep report was a nice addition.
- The location was good near restaurants, convenience stores, and the train station.
- Locker room smells so bad, especially the showers. Likely the drains and sewers. It being hot down there with barely any ventilation doesn’t help.
- Lockers are thin and small so if you can’t fit your stuff in you will have to store it at the front and come back often to get stuff as needed.
- The beds were hard and uncomfortable. Pillow was almost like a bean bag material.
- Having to leave everyday from 11am-3pm for their mandatory cleaning was an inconvenience.
