Staff unfriendly and very unhelpful at check in.
Staff attitude
An excellent relaxed informal hotel. We were visiting friends so could mix and match our visit.
Friendliness, flexibility, very comfortable bed, good hospitality, location, quiet.
Beautiful location, pork belly dinner was excellent, crab salad not so much...I think it was tinned crab
Food was amazing. Second time we have stayed and it was every bit as good as the first time. Staff are also excellent, friendly and helpful
Our room could do with a bit of a refresh but it was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed so it wasn’t a problem.
Our room was large and clean with a view over the fields at the back. Comfortable bed and tea/coffee making items provided. Also plenty of parking.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was very good, staff lovely.
The bathroom was a little tired.
Staff were very friendly. Excellent service. Fabulous breakast and stunning views.
No plug or chraging point by bed in one of the rooms.
Good selection for dietary needs gluten free items, vegan etc
Limit on gluten free toast. Regular toast had no limit
The food was very very good and certainly good value for money.
Perhaps not their fault but I was quite cold the first and second night. The week before my stay had been sweltering so perhaps they turned the boiler off. Then the weather got quite cold, and so I was cold in the night. The third night they told me to turn up the radiators, which I did, although I don't think the one in the bathroom was working (I forgot to tell them that.)
Breakfast very good..but I only slept and had B?F..
Good location, countryside setting. Clean accommodation.
It’s a little dated could do with a refresh.
The food was good, the choice at breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. Plenty of parking spaces too.
The pillows in our room were very uncomfortable, leading to poor sleep on both nights. Overall, the room was good and had everything you may need.
Location
It was ordinary
It is set in such a beautiful place in a lovely old building we will definitely come back. Everything was very nice except you could hear footsteps in the room above, and the mattress was hard.
The sausage and bacon in the cooked breakfast option were real farmers old fashioned food (not wet soggy supermarket stuff) Other clientele were so pleased with the place too it was a happy experience
Mattresses
Had a wonderful time at the pilgrim hotel this weekend. The staff were fantastic. Claire especially on reception and behind the bar was incredibly friendly and helpful.
We dined one evening and the steak was fantastic. One of the best I have had.
The stay was well above what I expected.
Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff.
Beautiful views.
Large comfortable rooms, good bar and restaurant.
Just starting to look a little dated.
Everything about the hotel was fantastic. In particular, my room was amazing (room 3).
Nothing, we all loved it.
