Put it this way. I had business all the way over in Elko New Market past Lakeville and I stayed here because I knew it was the nicest place for the price I was looking for. I've had several bad experiences at motels being dirty and sketchy. I came across this one in Forest Lake and decided it was worth the almost hour extra drive to stay here. It's clean, the breakfast was decent, and close to Taylors Falls where I used to live as a bonus. Good value and a decent place to stay.

We have noticed the remodeling and it looks great. We have been staying here annually to visit family and friends in the area. It is very clean and really enjoy of breakfast and coffee here.

Overall, we found our experience very pleasant. There's no such thing as perfect, but all in all, staff was great and the motel and our room were clean and the location was very convenient for our travel.

Everything was great except the one thing that should be top priority. I am disgusted. I pulled back the covers to go to bed and found idk what all over the sheets. Looked like skin peelings from someone shedding a sunburn. Also found fresh makeup (not stains) all over the sheets and the pillows. They DID NOT put fresh sheets or pillow cases on the beds. Fortunately I always come prepared with my own as I am always traveling. SMH this hotel has no concern for the health protection of its guests! GROSS

I absolutely love this place! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming — they went above and beyond when the accessible rooms were fully booked over the weekend, helping me settle into a comfortable room on the first floor instead.
I visited a year ago, and I'm happy to say the hotel has come a long way. The design and atmosphere have been beautifully refreshed, and the overall vibe feels much more polished and inviting. The room was spotlessly clean, and the location is ideal — peaceful and quiet at night, yet conveniently close to the highway.

This hotel should actually not be allowed to still be in business. The worst stay. Dirty, very old interior everything and very overgrown exterior. Air fresheners in outlets in hallways covering up terrible smells. Room door did not latch when closed. Quite unsafe.

A delightful place close to I-35 but quiet and peaceful with a great pool and breakfast and several good restaurants in walking distance and friendly, helpful staff.

When I finally was able to find help at the front desk, they were kind.

I've been traveling to MN many times, and this is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in MN. The room is particularly clean and bigger than I expected. I especially like the color/theme in the room. The service is very responsive. Breakfast is provided until late morning, so no pressure to wake up early at all. Great experience overall!
