Incredible staff, couldn’t be nicer, and fantastic location mere steps from the ski lift made this a perfect spot. Excellent restaurant and nice exercise facility were added bonuses.
Mattress could have been a little firmer, but that is a personal preference and pretty nitpicky.
Some problems with the hotel's accounting system as random charges put through my card but sorted out extremely well by the manager.
Beautiful hotel with great restaurant right at the base of Red Mountain.
Location. The Velvet Restaurant. Comfortable room. Sauna outdoors.
Everything
Location bar and dining
No hot tub. Sub par saunas
Ski in ski out
Not as much snow as i was expecting
The breakfast buffet we included with our room stay wasn't great but the service was good.
The towels in our room were damp for some reason and there was definitely a musty smell in the room. Other than that, the facilities were pretty clean
Emplacement fantastique
Absence de spa pour la relaxation post ski
Overall average experience, but with a negative overall impression. Front desk should be able to offer free parking when situations warrant, and have coffee available later than 7am. Have stayed there several times in the past, am a Marriott Bonvoy member. Suggestion1: When occupancy is low, generate goodwill with guests when snow is predicted and the garage is nearly empty.
Suggestion 2: Have coffee available later than 7am.
I understand you need to be profitable, but cutting these types of amenities at a luxury hotel is bad form. How much does it cost to offer complimentary parking in bad weather conditions and to have coffee available until mid morning?
We stayed at this Autograph Collection hotel for three nights, and unfortunately, it fell far short of the standards we’ve come to expect from other Autograph properties in North America and Europe. This is neither a boutique hotel nor a true luxury property. It lacks the individuality and character that typically distinguish Autograph Collection hotels, instead feeling like a generic large ski-resort operation.
The hotel is owned by an American company based in Texas and was only recently added to the Autograph/Marriott portfolio. Prior to that, it functioned simply as a ski-resort hotel — and, in truth, that’s still exactly how it feels.
The on-site restaurant, Velvet, was disappointing for both breakfast and dinner, and we would not recommend dining there. On a positive note, the rooms were clean and the staff provided adequate service, though nothing beyond functional.
