Oarsman's Bay Lodge

Our Bure was perfect - clean, comfortable and we loved the outdoor shower. The dining area was spacious and relaxed and we were kept very well fed! The food was fresh and delicious! The beach was absolutely stunning and loved being able to snorkel, swim and paddle board. There were enough activities to keep us busy without being overwhelming, and the staff were so welcoming and kind. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at Oarsman Bay Lodge was a truly authentic and wonderful experience. The atmosphere is very genuine and welcoming, and the staff quickly made us feel like part of a family. Their kindness, warmth and hospitality really made a difference.
The lagoon is absolutely stunning and, for us, one of the most beautiful places we visited in Fiji. The natural surroundings are simply breathtaking and make the whole experience even more special.
The food was another highlight: very good, fresh and well balanced.
We also really enjoyed the massages, which were excellent and very relaxing.
Overall, we had a beautiful and memorable stay and would definitely recommend Oarsman Bay Lodge to anyone looking for an authentic Fijian experience, genuine hospitality and a peaceful escape

We unfortunately had wet and windy conditions for most of our 6 night stay which can't be helped but some of our experiences were obviously affected by that. We especially enjoyed the evening music as well as the Saturday night performance - thanks especially to the multi talented Josh, Sefou, Adi, Lucy and others. It was also a good place to meet other travellers with nice informal seating options. Snorkelling on the reef hopping was excellent (both coral and fish) but it was very cold getting back, it was quite choppy and the conditions would be challenging if you were not a good swimmer. These trips are an extra cost. Snorkelling from the beach was not great, there was very little live coral or fish. The location is lovely but it takes around 5 hours to get there by the catarmaran and there are probably other options with a similar feel closer to the mainland.

The bungalow is right next to the beach, quiet, peaceful and very privacy. Staffs are friendly and very accommodating.

This place has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in my life. The food was excellent, the cocktails were delicious, and the people, the service, the experience, the location, the beaches — everything was absolutely wonderful. I honestly don’t have a single complaint. Everything was amazing.

There is just one thing I would like to explain regarding the payment. I haven’t paid yet because unfortunately my phone didn’t work with the payment machine, and I don’t have a physical card with me. But please be assured that I am not going to keep that money. I will find a way, somehow, to make the payment today and send you the money. Even if it costs me extra or I have to pay a fee to transfer it, I don’t mind. I will make sure you receive the payment, so please don’t worry about that.

I also wanted to explain something regarding what you mentioned about yesterday, when we arrived and you were talking while I was looking for internet.

Yesterday was honestly one of the most stressful and important days I’ve had in a very long time. I was in the middle of applying for my visa, I had no internet, and I urgently needed to respond to my lawyers. That’s why, at that moment, I was more focused on finding an internet connection than listening to you.

It was absolutely not because I wasn’t interested in what you were saying or because I didn’t respect you. I knew that whatever you were explaining to me, I could always ask you about it afterwards, but at that particular moment I had to respond to my lawyers.

The staff were the highlight, so friendly and amazing, they made activities more fun and were all great to have conversations with and connect with.
The whole design of their meal plan is great, with everyone eating at the same time it brings a real feel of community and connectivity. Highly recommend.

Each house has its own sun loungers by the water even if not a beachfront room. Property sits on two snorkelling reefs and good choice of activities. Staff all very helpful and friendly

We really loved the little resort. We booked a one bedroom with ocean view and it was absolutely beautiful. Staff is absolutely fantastic. We would have loved to stay longer.

Tout était formidable, la petite Bure vue sur la mer, les repas étaient excellents, le personnel professionnel, sympathique et avenant . Notre seul problème a été la barrière de la langue … nous ne parlons malheureusement pas assez bien anglais pour communiquer correctement avec le personnel et leur dire à quel point ils étaient investis et avaient rendu notre séjour magnifique 🤩

Very laid back, everyone’s really friendly, activities were easy to organise and blue oceans

The staff, food and location are all exceptional.

There are also a large variety of activities to pick from which is an added bonus.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned with very comfortable bed.

Beautiful bures steps away from the beach. The view from the restaurant was stunning. The north bar area was so quiet and perfect for us in the afternoons. The reef on the left and right of Oarsman’s is great for snorkelling. The meals were clean, fresh and delicious. Mostly chicken or fish. A lot of the vegetables are grown in their own yard.The staff were kind and always there if you needed anything. We loved our stay. We hope to be back again one day soon.
