Sehr gute Preis-Leistung, sehr schöne Bure, viel Ruhe, sehr nettes Personal und ein sehr schöner Strand zum baden und schnorcheln und relaxen. Gutes Essen. Die schönsten und grössten Zimmer hier auf den Yasawas nach 3 Resort besuchen.

Great central area for meals and activities with great views of the ocean. Loved the Fijian dinner night-lots of yummy traditional dishes to try. The staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Loved that each bure also had its own outdoor sitting area, chaise lounges and hammocks. All units are nicely spaced, offering lots of privacy and solitude. Bure was nicely furnished, beds very comfortable.

Staff were amazing, food was great, the beach and views are incredible.
The bed was very clean, I spent 4 days and I could stay more. If I’ll ever back in Fiji it’ll be just for the Oarsman!

This place was pure magic. I literally cried when I left. I give it my highest recommendation, the staff facilities, and the food.

We spent a week here as part of a bigger trip and it was one of the most enjoyable vacations we have ever had. First, it was a fantastic location. It’s about a four and a half hour ferry ride from Port Denarau so you are well away from the day-tripper crowds. As another guest said, “it was so far away from the outside world that we felt like we were on a deserted island”. The bures and the lodge are right on the ocean so the beach is just steps away. Secondly, it was adults only with a capacity of about 37 guests so there was a nice tranquil atmosphere with a community feel and the opportunity to make new friends. Thirdly, there was a nice balance of activities. You could snorkel right off the beach in crystal clear water, and there were a variety of water excursions available. On several nights, there was some sort of activity at the lodge which had a side benefit of getting the guests to mingle. We particularly enjoyed the crab racing. Fourthly, the staff were very warm and welcoming throughout our entire stay and bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. Particular thanks to Josh who kept a keen eye on me when I took a snorkelling excursion. Finally, the food was extremely high quality. Breakfast was a buffet and given the remoteness of the location, it was primarily fish and chicken at lunch and dinner however there was considerable variety in the way dishes were served.

Die Bungalows ab No. 11 sind wunderbar. Lage und Ruhe und die ganze Anlage fantastisch. Strand herrlich. Alle Mitarbeiter suuuuper freundlich und zugewandt. Sehr guter Service. Alles persönlich!!!

Location, people, atmosphere

Oarsman's Bay has it all. Situated far enough north in the Yasawas to be well away from the day-tripper crowds, it offers a genuinely relaxed, authentic Fijian experience. The adults-only policy is the icing on the cake, who wants screaming, running and unwanted disturbances. Just pure, unadulterated bliss.

The activities on offer provide exactly the right balance, always available, never pushed. Free use of SUPs, Kayaks and snorkelling kit means you can simply grab what you need and head out at your own pace; the reef more than rewards the effort. But the highlight for me was the caving excursion, an absolute must-do. Brilliant from start to finish, and the kind of experience you won't find at the more resort-heavy spots further south.

Beyond that, the daily activities list has something for everyone, basket weaving, bonfires on the beach under a sky full of stars capture everything that makes Fiji special. There are also trips for evening sunsets on a remote island.

The staff are warm and welcoming, making you feel like a guest rather than a customer.
If you're looking for an escape that feels authentically Fijian, unhurried, and genuinely restorative — Oarsman's Bay delivers on every count.

Wunderschön gelegene Anlage mit traumhafter Atmosphäre. Wir hatten ein kleines Häuschen mit direktem Strandzugang, hinter dem sich ein kleiner Hügel erhebt – besonders die Sonnenuntergänge dort sind beeindruckend. Die gesamte Anlage ist mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet und auffallend gut gepflegt. Unser Zimmer bzw. Häuschen war groß, sauber und sehr komfortabel. Das Personal war super freundlich und sehr bemüht! Auch das Essen war super:) Insgesamt ein wirklich wunderschöner Aufenthalt, den wir sehr empfehlen können.

Everything! The staff absolutely made our experience unforgettable though and are a credit to this place! From the second you arrive nothing is too much trouble and you definitely feel like family by the time you’re leaving.. we can’t wait to return!

Die ganze Unterkunft ist einfach wunderbar. Das Personal ist überaus aufmerksam, hilfsbereit bemüht sich sehr um das Wohl der Gäste. Das Zimmer ist wunderschön und sehr sauber. Das Essen ist übertragend und sehr schmackhaft. Der Strand ist auch sehr schön und zum schnorcheln auch sehr gut geeignet. Ich empfehle jeden, dorthin zu kommen. Ein Paradies auf den Fiji
