Very dissapointed, property is not well cared for. A smoke alarm beeped all three days I was there despite asking management to fix, 2 of 3 bulbs in bathroom were out making it very dark. Product in the shower had no soap, disappointing you pay an amount for property management and things all around are well below any reasonable standard. The only plus I have is the bed was comfortable, AC worked well and room was reasonably acceptable.

They were very accommodating- our fridge broke and they brought a mini fridge the same day. Was a short drive to Grace bay beach area. Plenty of parking on site. Didn’t use the pool or grill.

Similar to many of the previous reviews, i had a horrible experience.
I rented this place Dec 7-10 2023- the place was nice as described. I paid the security deposit.
3 days after checking out, my security deposit was still on hold. I called to find out when the funds would be released and was told in 3-7 days. I called multiple times during this period to inquire about the removal of my funds and was told by an agent of Checkers Vacation Home that "that's what they [Checkers Vacation Home] do however i will be refunded. "
On the 8th day, my funds still weren't released so i called again to follow up. I was then told by Debbie my refund was held for smoking. I have never smoked in my life and the one visitor i had was never there without me and did not smoke either.
I do not recall seeing any smoke detectors on the premises nor cameras or anyway that they would be able to know without a doubt if i did smoke.
I was told “it was my word against the housekeeper”. I reached out to expedia. They told me that the owners refused to refund the money and there was nothing they could do. And though there was no proof it was still maintained that I violated the owners' policy - which i did not.

I am incredibly upset by the owners' greed and blatant dishonesty. I do not recommend staying here for fear that this can happen again.

It was perfect for my husband and I! It was very clean and the pool was clean staff was very friendly! You will need a vehicle to get around

We are glad we rented a car, because is a good 30min walk to restaurants and stores, just a 4-5 min drive.
So you have to pick-up the keys at a different location, that was ok, my only advice is to make sure you get GOOD DIRECTIONS, when I picked up my keys I was asked if I knew how to get there, I told them sure I'll put the address on my GPS... WRONG!!!! the GPS took us somewhere else, so when I called they said "I asked you if you needed directions because the GPS doesn't work here" well..... thanks for letting me know as soon as I said "ill put the address on my GPS" you should have said something! anyways... that was the only minor inconvenience that was resolved immediately.
The studio apartment was very comfortable, had a cooler, beach towels, umbrella and 2 chairs.
The pool was always empty which was good.
When you walk across the street, to the right there is a big road that takes you to an isolated beach!!! you'll have it all to yourself which is great if you want to relax!!

Everything was clean and Quiet, the pool was nice. The only thing I didn’t like was the communication with the main offices, called more then 5 times, no one ever picked up the phone.

Clean place and friendly staff. A little bit of a walk to get anywhere except the beach is only a short walk across the street through a path.

This was the worst vacation experience of my life. Once we arrived for check-in, Debbie ran our credit cards FIRST and then proceeded to tell us that they did not have the 2 bedroom room we reserved and she would put us at another property. I asked to see pictures and the place (Fleetwood I believe was the name) was completely outdated with window air conditioners. She was incredibly rude about it and simply said "mistakes happen". So my friend and I who desperately needed sleep and R&R had to share a queen bed on our entire trip. It gets much worse. On our second day there, the key to our room broke off in the lock. We called and texted so many times (we have records of the texts) and inquired many times about switching rooms (she had said a 2 bed was available during part of our stay) and she never replied about changing to a safer room. Our room was left completely unlocked for over 48 hours before they had it fixed! We almost called the police as we had no idea why she would put two women traveling alone at such risk. The biggest issue with this property is when you click on the address to see the location, it shows you staying directly in town with access to everything. The address is actually in another town where you have to take cabs everywhere. Debbie has NO business managing anything let alone a hotel. She could have cared less that we were in an unsafe situation. Only AFTER we wrote that our door has been unlocked for over 48 hours, did she check in.

Excellent location! However the hot water didn't work the 1st night. Was forced to take a cold shower after a long day of travel 😫 and the water never got past just "Warm", i.e. No "Hot" shower. The host did their best to fix the issue and im thankful for that! Again.. GREAT LOCATION!

I had to go at another property 15 minutes Drive to get the keys the person checking that give me the key poor customer service the water pressure in the shower was horrible the place is a nice place The Maids on property was very helpful

New/ still under construction. Drive way was unpaved and bumpy. Terrible first impression from gate two. Inside unit was beautiful. We were the first renters. Bedrooms, closets and bathrooms upstairs were huge! Very large unit. Plenty of room for full family. Nice having bedrooms upstairs and living area downstairs. Several issues while staying there. Both A/C units leaked water upstairs. Had to turn them off and sleep in the heat two nights! Handle on patio door was not attached. Dishwasher not attached, cardboard still in it. Did not use it. Pool was very nice. Far from town not great when choosing to walk in the heat. Taxis $8 per pp minimum one way.

This property has false advertising. My united claimed to come with a washer & dryer and did not I even screenshot it to show them but the lady insisted that it did not. Also said bike rental on property which was also not available. I had to wait 5days to get clean towels after asking everyday and being told that they would bring some. There is lack of professionalism and good customer service. Once they get your money they act like they don’t care. This place is not worth the money that you will spend. I would not recommend this place mostly because of the terrible service. If you are ok with being treated like crap and lied to after spending your money then be my guess. Just trying to prevent others from going through what I went through
