The staff at the Europa House Hotel are friendly and so helpful. I have a knee problem so emailed a couple of days before check in to ask if it would be possible to avoid too many stairs and was allocated a ground floor room. This was especially appreciated on the Saturday late evening when I was in a lot of pain having been out and about for much of the day. When I checked in and on each occasion I entered and left the hotel I was greeted with a smile. I wanted to rest my leg on the Saturday morning and asked about the time housekeeping was done. I was told I could cancel the housekeeping if I wished and should I require anything to be replaced, I just had to ask at Reception. This was perfect. My room was clean and comfortable, and a reasonable size for a single. The tea/coffee tray was very well stocked. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. There was no noise at all to disturb me. The location is close to Paddington Station and there are plenty of eateries around so the hotel not doing breakfast was no problem at all. In fact it was nice not having to worry about getting showered and dressed in time for breakfast, I could eat at my leisure just a few minutes from the hotel. All in all I could find nothing to fault at this hotel and would be happy to book again if in the area. Thanks to all the staff for contributing to a lovely weekend.
Brilliant b&b lovely room great location will stay again great staff very clean .lots of restaurant s and shops around there .
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had a great time. The atmosphere was family-friendly and the staff were incredibly friendly! Good value for money. The bed was a little too soft, I almost sank into it, but it was fine for a few nights.
Clean, bit on the small, alright for one night, and for a solo traveller. My favourite bit of Europa are the staff, friendly, polite, can't do enough for you. Just great people.
Great location. Parking space available and pre-bookable outside the front door. Staff welcoming. Rooms are fairly small (particularly single rooms) and somewhat tired, and there is no lift. But clean and functional and one of the best options for a relatively inexpensive short term stay in this area.
Great little hotel, good location. Reception staff really friendly.
I've stayed at this lovely little family owned hotel a few times! Everything in my title is correct: it's certainly no frills, but it's conveniently located, clean, safe, quiet, and friendly! Then entire staff is delightful (I particularly enjoyed my interactions with Abubakar and Usman, but everyone is kind and helpful). Also, though it's great to be near the station, and there are all sorts of convenience stores and chain restaurants, be sure to explore the areas that are the *opposite* direction from Paddington, on the way to Hyde Park, etc! Charming and eclectic shops and eateries away from the beaten path.
Room ok size but washroom a bit small. Shower stall by my measurement maybe 30x30 and need to be careful not to bump the faucet controller when turning. If you are a multi-tasker you can do your business and washing at the same time.
It is in a great location. The room
Offered was very up in the attic on 4the floor. Carrying luggage could be challenging.
As always, the caveat that I’m reviewing this in comparison with other 2-3 star hotels. For a budget hotel, and in particular a budget room, this was fine and did not disappoint. Yes the room is very small but it’s as advertised, it’s a budget room. The bed is comfortable enough. The bathroom is tiny, the shower is particularly narrow so is not the easiest for a tall person, but it’s workable for one or two nights. However, the most important factor is that the room and bathroom were clean. The window opens enough to allow a lot of air in and there’s a fan attached to the wall above the bed. The room is very quiet. Finally, a mention for the friendly, welcoming staff whom it was a pleasure to meet. Overall, a decent 4 stars.
Typical London budget accommodation near public transport. Fine for a night or two given the proximity to Paddington and generally good value for London. But strictly no early check in, small basic rooms, creaky floorboards, banging doors and unfriendly staff.
Good location
Good beds, tiny bathroom, room was uncomfortably warm and the windows didn’t open enough to let fresh air in though fans were supplied
Paddington Station and Hyde Park Nearby
Tiny bathroom in urgent need of a new shower head, okay-ish size twin bedroom (okay for the price). Comfy beds.
Very helpful staff who arranged parking when I hadn't booked any and who lended us his personal phone charger.
Great location, few minutes walk to Hyde Park and Paddington Station.
Good breakfast options closeby.
Staff are superb
I travelled by myself and this property worked well for my needs (very convenient to Paddington Station and the Heathrow Express). The price was right too. On the downside, my bathroom was extremely small and tight, but private so thankful for that. The rooms are small with lumpy beds and dated furniture/decor, but overall not bad. That said, I enjoyed it and plan on staying there again.
One cautionary note: I came-in late at night and my room was on the top floor. The staircase is very narrow and there were NO lights (almost twisted my ankle). Be careful !
I stayed at this hotel during my trip to London and had a great experience. The room was clean, cozy, and just right after long days of exploring the city. The location was super convenient—everything from cafés and shops to public transport was just a short walk away. What stood out the most was how genuinely kind and helpful the staff were. They were always ready to assist, whether it was directions, local tips, or just a friendly chat. I’d definitely stay here again!
View was of a wall and walls paper thin.
