Hotel Ashwa Park

An absolute disappointment.
Ashwa Park is a stand alone hotel, a couple of kilometers away from the Salem Railway Station. It has decent parking space in front.

The lobby is decent and well maintained. Here is where the disappointment start;

1. The lobbies and passages leading to the bed rooms are dismal. They are old, narrow and smell of mildew.
2. The bedrooms are super old with hardly any amenities. The fan was making a weird noise when turned on.
3. Bathrooms feel like a match box- no amenities are kept in the bathroom. You will find some standard shampoo, toothbrush near the television. The lever for the shower was old and did not work. They have a feeling of weariness.
4. No towels are were provided and I had to call Housekeeping a couple of times for linen.
5. They do not take an effort to make a good stay. Room-service sent food without cutlery and tissues.

Complimentary Breakfast- Avoid at all costs- food is made and dumped into the buffet vessels. Idlies are cold and can be used as paper-weights, no variety and you probably have to eat what is served.

Overall- this property can be avoided.

I am writing to share my disappointment with the service provided at the bar of Hotel Ashwa Park Salem during my recent visit.

My friends and I visited the bar, totaling five patrons. Despite clearly indicating that we wanted separate bills for our orders, specifying individual bills for beer and whiskey, our requests were not honored. Instead, we received a combined bill, which led to confusion and inconvenience. Additionally, the complimentary dishes, which we were entitled to, were abruptly stopped without explanation.

Upon questioning this discrepancy, both the bar manager, Mr. Annamalai, and the bar service man, Mr. Vijay, responded unprofessionally. Their use of inappropriate language and scolding demeanor was completely unwarranted and contributed to a highly unpleasant atmosphere.

Furthermore, I must highlight the inadequate cleanliness standards observed in the bar area. The overall hygiene, including the condition of the bathroom, was subpar, with a noticeable unpleasant odor.

This experience was disappointing and fell far below the expected standards of customer service. I hope that the management will take this feedback seriously and implement necessary improvements to ensure that future patrons do not encounter similar issues.

Stayed in Ashwa park for a night. Room was neat with an old look. There was no kettle. Only water bottles, toothbrush and paste were provided. The bath room fittings were shakey. The breakfast starts at 7:30 am only. The restaurant was neatly maintained with prompt service.

I just loved the experience with the Banquet. I'm so happy to share my review.have no second thought and doubt in terms of quality of food ,decor and staff behaviour and management. It was my wedding reception function. We had 450 guests . That we had no tension at all.wonderfull place and service & special thank to Mr Mohan Raj / HR

In this price range a tried couple of other hotels in salem and i find this hotel best in the herd.

Room and bedsheet were clean. Hotel staff was cooperative. I had a minor issue with invoice which was resolved by them.

Smelly room, corridor has unbearable smoke smell, car has to be parked on the road side outside of the hotel. Bathroom is tiny room is not well maintained avoid this hotel if looking for a pleasent stay.

Situated opposite to the office of DRM, Salem, the facilities provided in room is good but poor customer service . No room service nothing. Terrible experience and would not recommend. Never to this place again.

In Salem mostly I used hotelashwa park.. very good atmosphere. Kind room services mrs.kumari , rajiya and visithra given their presence so good. As wel food & catering side Mr. Prakash , renuka, vasanthi and all staffs make me feel special. Good job. Keep it up. I strongly recommend hotel ashwa.

Amazing hotel, staying was very good, staff approach and service very nice, food taste wonderfull, rooms are neet cleaning and Aminties very good, worth of money, wifi working good, very easy to access from railway station.

Two days of stay at Ashwa park, Salem was terrible and pathetic experience. AC is not working at all, even after several complaints, response was terrible and they least bothered about it. We struggled for two days without AC and no one bothered about the cleaning or servicing our requirement.

It was wonderful time to be at this place. Gentle approach of the receptionist and great honesty of Mr. Suresh (house keeping and keeping the room clean and attending to the needs of the customer). A big thanks to Mrs. Tamil Selvi for arranging my rooms every day...Kudos...continue the good spirit..

A good hotel near railway station of Salem.
Good things:
a) Good rooms with nearly all the facilities.
b) Food I found to be good.
c) Interiors are good.
d) Good location.

Issue I had:
I had asked the restaurant staff in the night to pack few sandwiches for the next morning. I had train in the morning. But they forgot.

I am really happy when I come ur hotel stay for 3rd floor rooms are very neat and hygienic laundry service is good food also good pub is awesome l like, all staffs speak good very helpful, and they also have pick and drop facilities from railway Station and bus stop Excellent hotel to stay in salem.

Very nice stay in hotel Ashwa park service provided by housekeeping staff suresh and chandru and from front office all staff were very helpful and Ibrahim from front office helped me many times to open the door will surely come back
