Akanthus Hotel Ephesus

This is one of my favorite hotels. The courtyard is absolutely beautiful, full of authentic Turkish charm, and the ceramic decorations throughout the property really reflect the local culture and style. The location is excellent, and the hosts were very helpful and welcoming. A truly lovely place to stay.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet part of the town. Perfect for visiting Ephesus… we walked there and back. The rooms are luxurious and beautiful and everything is spotlessly clean. Free tea and coffee on tap and fresh cake offered each day. Honesty bar. Lovely pool area … as it was a quiet time I managed to do my daily laps. Staff always on hand and super friendly.

If you enjoy smaller boutique hotels, this is truly a standout choice. It was easily our favorite stay during a 3½-week trip through Greece and Türkiye.

Everything about the experience felt exceptional—from the warm, attentive hosts and staff to the beautifully maintained property. Our room was very comfortable (the bed alone deserves special mention), and we looked forward to each morning’s breakfast. The level of hospitality made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our stay.

It’s rare to find a place where every detail is done so well. I would be genuinely surprised if anyone left disappointed.

The extreme kindness of the staff made this hotel stand out. From start to finish they were helpful, kind, and friendly and helped me with every question or need. The location is perfect--very close to the minibuses going to Ephesus, and also close to shops, restaurants, banks, and even within walking distance to a hospital, which I ended up needing to use. The decor and ambiance are old world, and the attention to detail shines through. It's a pleasure to sit in their breakfast room, courtyard, or by the pool--an oasis! Breakfast was a Turkish delight, with plenty to see you through til the afternoon. Beds were super comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed my time there, and talking with the owners/managers was a cherry on top!

地理位置很好，开车去哪里都很方便，停车在巷子里，基本不用担心

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and tastefullly decorated . The breakfast was always delicious, and the location was perfect, close to all needed meals.

Just over a year from our previous stay, we've been back to Selçuk and to the local 'hospitality gem' of AHE. As before, it felt just familiarly perfect! Harmonious integration of traditional architectural elements and functional facilities; the communal indoor and outdoor areas provide a calm and relaxing environment to enjoy the tasteful breakfast or an evening drink while absorbing the ideal setting; the spacious room and bathroom with shower, tastefully decorated, with tec support to satisfy the most gadget-orientated guest, a fridge, kettle and the comfortable bed. But AHE won't be the same without the truly exceptional hosts: meeting old and making new friends made our stay an unforgivable experience once again. Your friendly, warm, discrete, professional help and passion for sharing cultural insights to appreciate the beauty of your region and culture won't be forgotten. Sehr gepflegtes kleines Stadthotel. Mit Geschmack und Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Klassische Musik beim Frühstück entspannt und hat Stil. Frühstück mit hausgemachter Marmelade war gut. Ohne Kosten standen Kaffee, Tee und Kuchen ganztägig zur Verfügung.

This hotel is a jewel. A hidden treasure where the owners have created an immaculate ambience.
