Akanthus Hotel Ephesus

Belle grande chambre calme au rez chaussée. Personnel sympathique.Excellent dejeuner ( ça s’appelle pas un petit…). Des bons restaurants à 10 minutes de marche. Stationnement juste en face dans la rue.

Beautiful architect designed building.
A small but very much adequate pool & courtyard perfect / peaceful area to unwind after the day's sightseeing.
Our room was spacious with great sunset views & fit out.
It is actualy better than the fotographs suggest.
3 nights stay, for us, wasn't enough.
Again a big thank you to management & staff.

Everything! The owner is an architect and his attention to detail was impeccable. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom had some of the nicest fixtures we've ever seen. But for us, there was just something magical about the courtyard. The ambiance was so soothing I could have just stayed there all day. The breakfasts were delicious and the employees were helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Centrally located, it’s clean, comfortable and got a nice homey feel to it. The staff exceptionally helpful and friendly.

This was a wonderful boutique hotel for our stopover to visit Ephesus. It’s located in a beautiful little town, the rooms were comfortable and spacious, the staff were so friendly, and the breakfast was wonderful. They even turned on the air conditioner for us (earlier than the normal schedule) when we mentioned our room was a bit warm. Such wonderful and gracious people. We’re so happy to have stayed here!

The breakfast was excellent. We learned to value the typical Turkish breakfast with plenty of fresh vegetables, olives and cheeses. The hotel is tastefully renovated, with remarkable antique embroideries, and located very close to the site of the ancient Artemis temple.

Très bel établissement de charme, décoré avec beaucoup de soin et de goût, avec une touche ottomane mais tout le confort moderne. Faïence magnifique dans la salle de bain. Très beaux tapis et magnifiques pièces ancienne de faïence utilisés pour la décoration, notamment dans les parties communes. Large lit très confortable. Très propre. Joli cour avec piscine, qui invite à se relaxer. Qualité du petit-déjeuner. Goûter à disposition dans l'après-midi. Personnel très attentionné. Très bien situé pour visiter Selçuk à pied, et seulement à quelques kilomètres en voiture ou taxie du site archéologique d'Ephesus.

This is one of my favorite hotels. The courtyard is absolutely beautiful, full of authentic Turkish charm, and the ceramic decorations throughout the property really reflect the local culture and style. The location is excellent, and the hosts were very helpful and welcoming. A truly lovely place to stay.

This is a beautiful property with a helpful English speaking staff

Beautiful hotel in a quiet part of the town. Perfect for visiting Ephesus… we walked there and back. The rooms are luxurious and beautiful and everything is spotlessly clean. Free tea and coffee on tap and fresh cake offered each day. Honesty bar. Lovely pool area … as it was a quiet time I managed to do my daily laps. Staff always on hand and super friendly.

If you enjoy smaller boutique hotels, this is truly a standout choice. It was easily our favorite stay during a 3½-week trip through Greece and Türkiye.

Everything about the experience felt exceptional—from the warm, attentive hosts and staff to the beautifully maintained property. Our room was very comfortable (the bed alone deserves special mention), and we looked forward to each morning’s breakfast. The level of hospitality made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our stay.

It’s rare to find a place where every detail is done so well. I would be genuinely surprised if anyone left disappointed.

The extreme kindness of the staff made this hotel stand out. From start to finish they were helpful, kind, and friendly and helped me with every question or need. The location is perfect--very close to the minibuses going to Ephesus, and also close to shops, restaurants, banks, and even within walking distance to a hospital, which I ended up needing to use. The decor and ambiance are old world, and the attention to detail shines through. It's a pleasure to sit in their breakfast room, courtyard, or by the pool--an oasis! Breakfast was a Turkish delight, with plenty to see you through til the afternoon. Beds were super comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed my time there, and talking with the owners/managers was a cherry on top!
