Good stay , good and value for money
This place wasn't for me, its away from the town, once there just stuck, and the rooms are bit tiny considering its a ship converted in a hotel. Its a nice place, but not for me.
Everything was in order..great location..facilities etc.. however the hotel was let down by the front desk. We arrived after a 10 hour flight at 4.30am ( room booked for the night before) only to find room not ready!..had to wait 30 minutes..with various stories from the front desk...aircon not working was the first excuse...then the next was we are trying to get a sea view for you... just a very poor experience made worse by a rather agressive duty manager..who appeared from nowhere just so rude... they did offer to move rooms the next day but honestly at this stage we wete settled in. Then the same Guy checked us out after 3 nights..and quizzed us on why we had not taken up his offer to move rooms..the guy just would not let go..blah blah..had to say STOP..enough now...definately front desk re training required for both the clerk and the night manager. Other than this..a Great hotel.. with nostalgia.
Needs better and more activities. Also food quality needs to be improved.
Unfortunately my experience was hindered by the extended check in process. Quite chaotic. However, I can not fault the room. Immaculate and clean. Always a unique experience staying aboard this hotel-ship. A lot of history behind it.

Beautiful ship, glad to see it didn’t get dismantled when it was retired. There are some spots where it shows its age, but on the whole it was absolutely lovely.
History... Staff was outstanding and extremely friendly, helpful, and a joy to be around. Large spacious updated room. Food was very good. I added a half board to my Captain's room located on the Sundeck (SU)
Area around the QE2 Is having a whole new road system, with large Cranes as far as the eyes could see, However there was Next to NO NOISE !
Amazing stay on the ship.
A real experience so much more than just a hotel.
Did the Heritage tour the afternoon we arrived which was great and gave us a good idea of how to navigate our way round the ship after the tour was finished.
Lots of good exhibitions around the ship giving a great insight into the history and significance of the ship over the years.
Would highly recommend a stay and the Heritage tour too.
I was looking forward to my experience on QE2 but it was really poor. By the end of day 2 I wished I chose another hotel.
From cleanliness to service to amenities - they all were a far cry from what you'd expect going on QE2.
I would strongly recommend anyone looking into booking this hotel for their stay in Dubai (however short) reconsider and find a different option.
Supposed to get room with balcony as per booking but was not given?!?! Hotels dropped the ball again they said… not impressed again not the first time booking with hotels .com did this
Rooms were great, all be it a headache to find sometimes. The ship is nice in parts, shame they don't utilise it to its full potential. Pool is uninviting and inside only. Loads of areas not used and upper decks are just a graveyard. Area is under heavy construction and is a taxi ride to pretty much anyway. Food was okay, i got a good deal so was great value for money but paying full price would be poor value. £10 for 2 coffees was slightly excessive too. I wouldnt stay again but reconise that if you needed a cheap place to stay for a night or two its an experience.
