great staff, clean good service, and bathrooms were clean, but smelly because gases

Great location, extremely friendly staff!
Pros:

Very central, clean, air conditioning works well.

Cons:

The sound level from adjacent bars was a bit much for the kids.

Not worth it if you are a tourist. If you just need a place to crash it is ok
Pros:

The staff tried hard to please us but there wasn't much they could do. Rooms were more spacious than average. Breakfast was OK. The hotel's garden was nice but we didn't spend much time in there.

Cons:

The hotel had its glory days 20 years ago. Today it is really run-down. Nothing works properly. The first room smelled so bad of mold that we immediately requested to be given another room. There was no way we could stay there even for an hour. The second room was a little better; however, the air conditioner smelled as it was not cleaned for years probably. We tried to turn it off but the remote control did not work. Called for a staff member. He tried to fix the remote but couldn't so he brought a remote from another room. The new remote sometimes worked, sometimes didn't. While the guy was trying to fix the air conditioner we discovered that the TV did not work either. We were suggested to move to another room (the third one). There we could watch one channel (the only one that worked) and the remote for the air conditioner initially worked (although there was also an unpleasant smell). The next day we could not turn the air conditioner off at night so we had to sleep with it on and the windows open.
