Brilliant budget accommodation right on the Grand Canal
Pros:

I have passed by this hotel for years but never stayed there until this month. I do not know what took me so long! It is a very nice hotel in a truly remarkable location. And the price - well let's just say you do not often find hotels in this area for such a reasonable price. As a solo traveler I really appreciate this. My room was clean, comfortable and even though overlooking the busy Accademia bridge, extremely quiet with the windows closed. I was allowed to check in a bit early which I also appreciated - communication with the owners was really fantastic, better than any other Venice hotel I have stayed in, to be honest. I do not believe one can go wrong with this hotel as long as they keep their expectations in check - this is a one star hotel, so there is no elevator and also, no air conditioning which will be an issue for some in the hotter months. They do have ceiling fans in the rooms. I would absolutely stay here again. There are some great places to eat and drink very close by - check out Gia Schiavi for a glass of wine and cicchetti, and Taverna San Trovaso - both are institutions.

Cons:

Everything was great but next time I will pay a bit extra to get a room with a canal view!

Location is perfect, near the water bus and shops, owners are very very helpful, amenities are okay

Cons:

Rooms are old and small but if you need a hotel in a good location, overlooking the canal - book this!

This is a simple hotel in a wonderful location.
Pros:

The location was a great find as the hotel is right on the Grand Canal, by the Ponte dell'Accademia. The view from the room was stunning. The hotel is simple but clean and well heated. There was a kettle, with tea and coffee, but this is not a hotel for anyone who wants extra comforts. For example, there is no TV but who is in the room watching TV when you are in the centre of Venice?

Very unique place, good location, best view, but not comfortable in a lot of aspects.
Pros:

Location, near bus stop. Bit far from expensive area, you can enjoy bit cheaper restaurants and shops. View from the window is amazing. Old style original small things.

Cons:

Very small size, not comfortable materace and not comfortable pillows, not comfortable chairs(2 hard chairs), no hugs and no place for any stuff. Tiny walls you can hear neighbors and people in corridor like in you room.
