Pillows were too soft but you swapped them out!

Stayed for a quick overnight trip 5/31/26. On the day of check out 6/1, we were awaken by 2 knocks and then someone proceeded to open the door at 8am. They could not enter due to the lock that blocks the door from opening. Surely this was not housekeeping at 8a and check out is not until noon. Since I was awaken, I went to grab breakfast around 0930 and decided to stop at the desk to let them know housekeeping tried to enter the room at 8a. Housekeeping was outside of my door cleaning another room. The attendant at the desk told me that housekeeping was checking to see if they could clean the a room because they normally have guest to check out as early as 6a. I advised I’ve never had housekeeping coming at 8a to clean a room. I was told I should keep the “do not disturb” tag on the door so they know not to come in that early in the morning. HUH??? That didn’t make any sense. I’m not like other guests, I taking a quick overnight trip and want to sleep in. After picking up breakfast, while sitting eating we hear another knock at the door at 1030a and it was housekeeping AGAIN. The housekeeper tell me check out is at 11a-12p. I told her we are not ready to check out yet! We finally leave at 1115a and housekeeping is standing right outside of the room waiting to clean and immediately went in after we got down the hall. Why is she rushing to clean the room! Why are guess be rushed out? The employee working at the front desk and housekeeping ruined this stay for me. Will not be returning or recommending
It was situated near coffee and a place to sit outside. The environment was welcoming.

The outside noise at this hotel is unbelievable. It’s in a cute little shopping and dining area but this means lots of chatty foot traffic on the streets right outside the hotel and the windows are not soundproof. But by far the worst noise was from the major streets nearby and what sounded like drag racing literally all night long (Fri-Sat). The engine revving and peeling away went on endlessly most of the night. I’m not sure if some areas of the hotel are better to avoid this and I would ask. The interior walls were thin but I’ve stayed next to airport runways, train tracks and interstates and never experienced a such a racket. It’s a shame because it otherwise seems like a decent area and the hotel, while modest, was clean and staff friendly.
