Loud music from the park on the weekend! But the music ended at a reasonable hour.

Excellent hotel and restaurant with an outstanding staff.
Pros:

Location was excellent, walk to Old Montreal, close to metro and shopping. Staff was especially good, every request was answered promptly. The entire hotel was impeccably clean.

Cons:

The fitness gym was a little small but adequate and clean. There is no pool.

The worst experience of our life.

Extremely disappointing experience for a 5-star hotel. Despite booking a month in advance and informing the hotel of our 8-hour flight delay, we arrived exhausted at 1 a.m. to be told that, due to overbooking, there was no room available for us. After two hours of discussions, we were promised an alternative hotel of a similar category and in a similar location, a refund of our already-paid stay, and one night at Birks covered by the hotel; instead, we were sent to a noisy 3-star hotel 30 minutes outside central Montreal, in an area we did not feel comfortable in. When we returned to Birks the next day, we were then told we would have to pay for the room, contrary to what had been agreed the night before. After another very unpleasant discussion, we decided to leave. Although our original payment was eventually refunded, the entire experience and the way we were treated were completely unacceptable and far below what anyone should expect from a 5-star hotel.

Le personnel adorable

Cons:

Les chambres de bonne taille sont polluées par un trop plein de vieux meubles qui n ajoutent qu une sensation de lourdeur. Les détails ne sont pas ceux attendus dans un 5. Les rideaux occultants qui ne se ferment pas entièrement, les viennoiseries industrielles et de mauvaise qualité, absence de room service le soir et le quartier n est plus bon.

Great Stay & Amazing Staff
Pros:

Great hotel in an excellent location. Our room was bright and clean, with an amazing window overlooking the cathedral. The staff truly made the difference—friendly, helpful, and always available. Highly recommended!
