En el desayuno no habia suficiente pan

Historic building converted to a hotel in a most sympathetic way. The garden and pool area were tranquil and relaxing

Cet hôtel a été autrefois la demeure du premier Président démocratiquement élu en Espagne Adolfo Suarez. Il a du hélas la céder pour faire soigner sa femme atteinte d’un cancer. L’hôtel est très bien situé en plein centre historique avec parking privé. Jardin et piscine au calme derrière de grands murs. Le personnel est très prévenant et super agréable. Pour visiter la ville historique d’Avila (où Orson Wells a vécu) je recommande c’est sûrement le meilleur. Chambres avec clim, déco très sympa. Petit déjeuner gargantuesque et varié (sucré, salé, fruits, œufs cuits à la demande…)

Breakfast: small Rationen food of barely any Choice. No multiple breads to chose, no range of juices to chose from, no bacon to accompany the eggs. I was offered alternatively to have jamon York with it, which sadly never arrived.
We were told we couldn’t have breakfast in the garden as the waitress was alone.
A normal slice of Gouda cheese wasn’t available for breakfast.
We were served bad salmon 2 days in a row
Restaurant Not Open during the week. Was a special reason for us to Book this hotel. Sadly couldn’t even try it.
No bar to have the night chill out.
No coffee before 8:30.
Small detail:
No smoking in Garden area.
Overall feeling is less 5 more 4 Stars. It gives the vibe there’s a cost Problem and savings Are trying to be made on wrong end.
Bathtub felt like it’s only made for looks, didn’t even dare to try to get into it.
Amenities such as dental kit seem to be surcharge. Which I find unusual for a 5 star hotel.
