The restaurant attached is closed on a Monday, however the hotel arranged a grab and go breakfast.
Lovely staff, very clean
Bed was very hard. Breakfast (veggie sausage) inedible
A comfortable hotel, the grab and go breakfast was good, Staff very friendly, especially Natalie.
First room could hear traffic, but was moved.
I was comfortable
Having an actual key for the room. The shower leaked through the shower door all over the floor. Rooms need updating a lot.
Everything
Milý personál, veľká posteľ, čisto.
Balené raňajky, chladno v kúpeľni.
Excellent welcome and seevice
Really pleased to have a fridge now, good sized room, super warm bath, room was comfortably warm, good sized room and comfy bed, lovely breakfast too
Nothing, happy with everything
Pleasant staff and nice takeaway breakfast sandwich.
Tired and dull hotel.
Liked cause it was quite cozy
Nothing
Easy to find, handy for where I needed to be. Staff member was lovely.
Bed wasn’t very comfortable. Shower screen leaks a lot and there was a lot of hair in the bathroom sink plug hole
While the general location is convenient for the area, the access to and from the hotel is awful. The narrow access road leads from a very busy main road, with one lane of fast moving vehicles and two lanes of queuing traffic, and too near a busy junction to make right turns out a pleasant experience. On first impressions, the hotel itself seemed OK and the reception staff were friendly. The room appeared to be clean, with the exception of a long black hair found on the side of the bath (my wife is blonde and I’m bald). We were both very disappointed with the bath/shower though, as despite the water being scalding hot in the wash basin, the water from the bath taps and over-bath shower head was tepid at best. This meant that a relaxing soak in the bath was out of the question and a very quick cool shower was all that could be taken in anything resembling comfort. Sleep also turned out to be out of the question on this occasion, as the bed’s mattress was as hard as a board and the duvet was the thinnest I have ever seen in my life. We were therefore cold in bed and needed to run the room heater all night and even then we needed our coats over us on top of the duvet! Added to this, just to make sure that we didn’t get any sleep, our neighbours in the room above turned up shortly before midnight and, due to the lack of any noticeable sound insulation in the building, appeared to belong to a family of elephants. They stomped around the room every few minutes, right through until 4am and even left their mobile phone ringing, unanswered, for ages at around 2am, just to add good measure. Finally, to cap things off, they got the wrong order for my breakfast barm and, as my wife opened the curtains, the curtain rail fell off and came close to hitting me on the head. When we reported this to the receptionist on the way out, his response was “don’t worry about it, it happens all the time”. So, no apology made, and there is obviously not going to be any attempt at repairing the defective rail. All in all, as you can probably guess, we won’t be returning.
Not far from where I needed to go.
Wish there was a fridge in the room
Good value for money. Decent options for breakfast considering it’s a grab and go option.
Very quiet despite the location - no noise from the highway at all. Very clean room with comfortable beds. Exactly what we needed for the 2 nights we were in Manchester for a family funeral. The Grab-&-Go breakfast (we had the sausage & bacon barmcake) was really good. We had dinner at Albert's - the hotel has a direct entrance to the restaurant - and it was delicious.
More storage for clothing. There's a space with a few hangers, and a shelf. You're basically living out of your suitcase, which would be really inconvenient if you were here more than a couple nights. They need to add a dresser or a chest of drawers - there's plenty of room because the room is rather stark.
