Lovely location, very friendly helpful staff,
Excellent Sunday roast , good pool area
Nothing
I really liked the stay
Beautiful setting,clean
My wife and I got married at Lakeside on 15th May. It was an amazing day despite the slightly mixed weather. The staff at Lakeside couldn't have been more helpful and the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening celebrations went very smoothly. It is a beautiful venue with gorgeous views across the lake and I would thoroughly recommend it. Dean and Jo
Lovely location by a lake with plenty of seating to relax in the outdoors. Staff were very professional and welcoming so made the visit feel like we were valued. Spa area was small but as it was a lovely day not too busy. As we were walking the coastal Path it was great as we were also at the end of the walk
This is a hotel venue for weddings and events so feels a little soulless for the average guest.
Great spa and lovely massage.
Nothing we didn't like

Comfortable air conditioned rooms either excellent bathroom and storage.
Very little
The hotel is lovely, the outside is just as lovely. I enjoyed the spa facilities.
Breakfast was ok, although no-one really told you how things worked... ie that I could order different styles of eggs etc
The main meal was disappointing, and very expensive! The mains were barely warm and it was not busy at all, so that should not happen. The pineapple tart needed a knife and fork to eat it, the spoon would not go through it.
It is also disappointing that the receptionist indicated that there was not much space left for an evening meal, and we should book up! and we did.... there was loads of empty tables.
Absolutely everything. The facilities were spot on. The food was lovely. The location is great, just a short bus ride from main locations. The grounds itself were extremely relaxing and a lovely walk around in the evenings. The staff were exceptional (i dont know her name but the lady with the red hair and piercings was fantastic) really went above and beyond to deliver the perfect guest experience.
Nothing.
The buffet breakfast what really good, with an exceptional view over the water.
There was a wedding happening at the same time as our visit, which looked amazing! This didn't take the attention off us as a party of two.
Absolutely nothing!
Overall the hotel is okay. We had a great time and the staff were helpful and friendly, but generally the hotel felt a little tired and that expense was being spared. Rooms were clean and tidy. Spa and pool nice, but quite busy, especially during times open to children. Breakfasts not the greatest. Chose to eat and drink at nearby restaurants rather than the hotel. Grounds very nice, but the building would probably be better for a bit of a revamp.
What a lovely hotel! It was super!! Great pool, lounging area! Very comfortable. The room was lovely, I had a great night sleep (especially with the air con in this heat!), my partner didn't sleep quite so well but overall we had a fantastic time! The staff were 10/10 - both reception and the restaurant - just wow!!! the views were also 10/10, felt like I had gone abroad!!! We visited for our baby moon (only 12 weeks until baby girl is here) and couldn't have asked for a better stay. Would 100% return!
The room was lovely but the bathroom was just a tad a bit too well loved (don't get me wrong, it was clean oh and HUGE! but just some things maybe could be updated to help as there was some damage to the corner of the shower area which is just wear and tear), I also wasn't the biggest fan of the fact there were some outdoor seating not far from our window (we were on the bottom floor) so children/families were sat there and I had to keep on remembering to shut the curtains when we were getting changed etc! (Oh and a mini fridge would have just been the icing on the cake)
