There were no mini freeze in room , slipper
We stayed for three nights and genuinely enjoyed the room and the spa facilities, which were both excellent. The pool area is lovely, although the 1.5‑hour limit for families felt quite restrictive, especially with so many children wanting to use it.
With improvements to breakfast and more flexible pool access for families, this hotel has the potential to be a fantastic stay
Unfortunately, breakfast was the biggest disappointment. The selection was very limited, and the staff struggled to answer basic questions about the menu. My daughter didn’t enjoy anything, and we chose not to return after the first morning because the experience was that poor.
Location. Super helpful Staff. Decent Spa.
Cheap and scruffy gardening in some places. Could be vastly improved with a small investment.
Also restaurant menu and food was ok but not great.
Was in a nice location
Staff really friendly
Wasn’t keen on the food in the restaurant
Staff took our feedback and tried to compensate
The location
There was no fridge in our room
It had lovely views and was very peaceful
It needs a little updating especially the outside areas
Breakfast was good.
Everything organised.
Staffs are friendly.
Plenty of parking spaces
The only saving grace are the reception staff and a couple if others. Generally the staff are surely and act like you are an inconvience. Example. Try asking for a pot of tea at breakfast. 6 morning in,4 mornings pointed to a hot water dispenser and a tea bag before grudgingly served a pot os tea. Sometimes with milk and tea cups sometimes not There is a menu but it’s well hidden. The buffet is just cheap food service products that look stale and uninviting. Really poor effort
The room is so tired I felt sorry for it. The curtains so old and frail that as you pull them they rip, literally. I don’t think it has been updated in 20 years. Even the room ridge has gone missing. Just a gap where it should be An expensive place that looks and feels like a premiere inn but at over £200+ a night very far from where it should be One more night then onward thank goodness
Excellent breakfast buffet and menu (albeit not obvious that you can also order aditional eggs, salmon etc! ) , Rooms old fashion style but nice, spacious and clean. Really friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful grounds . Ideal for people with physical walking-related disabilities as rooms and facilities are on ground floor. Good wifi.
Spa wasn't brilliant but good enough! Smallish pool, saunas/steam room not hot enough and occasionally not on time available at start of the day 8am. No minibar i.e. fridge (but this is a minor point!).
Room and breakfast were excellent. Staff were always friendly especially the restaurant and reception area.
The dinner menu was a little restrictive and limited for children. Th spa restriction to not allow children under 16 to use the jacuzzi was disappointing as most other hotels visited do not have this in place. My 9 year old daughter was upset as something she was looking forward to.
The receptionist Jessy was exceptionally polite and helpful. She went out of the way to print an itinerary for us.
Laura, the cleaning team, the restaurant team, the spa team. All were lovely.
The "king size" bed is only a small double. It was so small that we needed to ask for an extra room which increased our expenditure by a lot.
There is not a "single occupancy" rate. The pricing is a bit steep in the restaurant and for a room (although granted, it is peak season).
Clean friendly and great location
Nothing
Music in reception
The outdoor seating was dirty
