Location was ok
Booked apartment with cooking and microwave in kitchen had neither. Very poor after advertising a kitchen.
Location
Just poor upkeep of the hotel. Noisy - couldn't sleep as there were probably 10-15 people partying in the next room. There's no parking - it's on another small road but it's only for 3-4 cars and for the 4 days that we were there we couldn't park on any day as it was full. This hotel has two buildings on either side of the road. We were given a room in what was called Bromley House which is not the main hotel building. These rooms are above Ladbroke. I made a complaint about the noise one day - on other days there was no one at reception when I crossed the road and went there. If you ask why couldn't I call - well there's no phone in the rooms. I was told I can call in the Google listed phone by my mobile if I need to reach the reception. The room was spacious but furniture was old and worn off - paint's peeled off from the chair, for example. Also there's no hand wash - a small soap bar was kept on the basin which I remember as something from the 80s.
Overall less value for money.
Good location for the area and we had a sea view room.
The hotel is in need of a big refurbishment, cannot comment on other rooms but our room seemed to be a bit neglected, the breakfast was in the building next door but it did not open until 9am, we walked past reception many times and it was hardly ever manned, we only found out about breakfast (as nobody at reception in the morning to ask and we were not the only people looking) when we went for a meal in the pub next door and asked if they were linked to the hotel as we could see a bridge between the 2 buildings
Nice
Bedroom
Location & facing litiges in bedroom
We had 2 single rooms
The mattress in room 34 was bad & you could feel the buttons through the sheets
Booked for 2 nights but plans changed and only stayed for one. Hotel is no frills but cheap, clean and a good location.
It’s a little bit tired but fair for the price.
Great location
It could have been cleaner very dated and sad
It's a very good, central location. The beds were comfortable. Good sized rooms as well.
It's very dated and worn. It needs updating. The shower in one room
Didn't work.
Location was great central to shops and bus station.Staff were lovely and very helpful.Breakfast was very good..
Well everything was clean and tidy however it would be nice to see the Yelf refurbished especially the garden area.Wouldn't cost much to revarnish the outside tables or paint them.Conservatatory roof really needs a clean with a pressure washer or mop.The windows need a good clean in the bedrooms and the fire exit stairs outside my room need painting as all rusty and dirty looking.
Great location.
Own bathroom.
Great amenities.
Complimentary tea/coffee.
Noisy on the night that might annoy some, but knew frim previous reviews this was the case so was prepared. No issues though as everyone is just having a good time.
room was spacious , soft king size bed , location was great close to bus station , breakfast was serviced next door and was excellent, but had own bar and food menu .
Room needed up dating , window outside ledge paint was flaking and moss growing on it , old anti slip mat in bath but was changed for a new one next day , bath plug didn't fit had to properly , toilet needed descaling . we did not ask for a quiet room , so expected some noise as room was at the front of the hotel at bit noisy at night plus pub next door in part of the town.
Great location
Dated decor and dated furnishings
We liked that there was a Smart TV in the apartment hotel and the location of being in a popular Street of Ryde + close to the Ryde Pier...
Firstly, the kitchen stoves, when turned on, made all stoves burners heat up a lot which did cause a bit of trouble cooking. Secondly, the bed located in the living + kitchen room (made using the couch) was uncomfortable. Plus, the position of the lamp over the bed next to a window in the room with the TV was directly above the pillow, hence my family member had to carefully wake up in the night.
The room was absolutely filthy
Cobwebs everywhere
Thick dust
Hadn’t been hoovered
Net curtains disgusting
Bed beautiful
The room was awful
Location was perfect, everything was clean and comfortable and the staff were all friendly and polite. Tea/coffee was replenished every day and having a fan was a particular highlight in the current heatwave! The beds were particularly comfortable
The hotel in general is a tired and could do with some decoration and TLC, but for a place to simply sleep/wash it was exactly all we needed! The shower had a mind of it's own, you had to just turn the hot tap a millimeter and it was scalding hot. Having a hairdryer would've been useful (more so than an iron, but that says more about me than them!)
Loved the location, have stayed many times, staff always friendly, nothing too much trouble.
Getting a little tired as so old but part of the charm
Idea location and very helpful and friendly staff.
Could just do with a general update of the rooms in particular.
We used to live in Ryde 15 years ago and the Hotel hasn't changed at all.
Broken bed, couldn't move rooms as fully booked. Had to sleep on floor. Haven't heard any correspondence back re a refund.
