Was perfect for our one night stay.
Pretty typical hotel that looks like not much money or effort is spent on room maintenance. Room was comfortable and clean. The shower head was just hanging on. The bathroom window blind was pretty much not existent with most of it broken away. Bathroom window glass pain broken.
The staff were great, rooms were very comfortable and location was superb. The lady who met us when we checked in was just lovely as was the young guy who served us drinks in the garden.
It’s not what we didn’t like but it would be good if the rooms had a small refrigerator .
Room was good and spacious, breakfast was included in the price and very good with plenty to eat. Car park was secure and safe for our motorcycles and staff very friendly and helpful. There was a little noise from the refurbishment being carried out but nothing obtrusive and covered up for any dust etc. (we were aware of it when we booked). Hotel was very good for the money we paid and would book again if we are in that area.
As always bar with an Hotel, bar prices were a little dear but expected so were we ok with it.
The breakfast was very good and the staff were lovely.
No light on in the corridor to our room.. it was very dark and I tripped up the stairs and grazed my knee.
Great hotel helpful staff
Bed slightly hard mattress but great rooms
The location

No hot shower 1 day. Was in the middle of renovating bar wish I knew in advance though alternative arrangements were made
The Chase Hotel was absolutely wonderful! It’s a stunning Edwardian building that in a past life was a Manor House, or a very elegant town house. It has recently been taken over by a local family who at the time of our visit were in the process of renovating the building, which they did inform us about prior to our arrival. The room was simple, but it had everything we needed for a good night’s sleep and a coffee or tea in the morning. It does have a TV, but I’m not a fan of watching it. The bed was comfy and the room and on-suite were in my opinion spotless. My wife noticed a couple of small things, but she’s a head housekeeper herself for a few big properties, so she’s very detail-oriented 🤔😂.
The traditional fried breakfast or the eggs on toast that my wife had most days was excellent was fantastic, (thank you Chef) or if you prefer you can have breakfast cereal, or a variety of other options. We only ate in the restaurant a couple of times, but the food was outstanding. Many locals visit the restaurant and bar because of the great hospitality and reputation the hotel has. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming, which really added to the experience and atmosphere. All of the staff are extremely helpful friendly and welcoming. I would like to give a special shout out to Nathan who despite only being 18 years old, really stood out, he is a great asset to the hotel and team. He is very polite, friendly and confident without the cockiness that sometimes is a trait of his age group. Thank you Nathan for helping make our stay enjoyable. My wife and I wish you all the best for your future endeavours. I honestly can’t recommend this hotel enough.
I had no complaints about the hotel.
Excellent as always, I try to use the Chase Hotel as it is perfect for me. Close to where I need to work.
Staff friendly, hotel clean, food good.
Also using the Hotel supports local business, it is not part of a national chain
