Charming old building, well decorated lobby, fun vibe, comfortable beds. Good for vacationing young adults, and older adults that don't mind older facilities.
Communal bathrooms and showers, beat-up furniture, vintage fixtures, poor room lighting, weak window air conditioning units. Rooms do not isolate for sound very well. No elevator or ramp access. Unfortunately I was on a work trip and needed better room lighting, furniture, and sound isolation.
The location was great and it was quiet.
The bathrooms were communal and down the hall. The description did not say that.
The location was perfect for our Shakespearean visit. We walked to the theaters, restaurants, and parks.
The breakfast could have been fresher; the apples were a bit bruised. However, fruit and granola bars seemed perfect for the PCT'ers.
Perfect location, walk to dinner and OSF and OK street parking.
well, there is no breakfast, and check in isn't till 4 (which I guess is common)
There was no breakfast
Having someone at the front desk longer
The location was perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable.
We were there in early May and the room was pretty stuffy and warm. The windows did open but there were no screens so we didn't feel comfortable keeping them open all night. I can't imagine trying to sleep there in the Summer heat! A fan of some sort would have been great.
Paying $20 for parking for the night was a bit pricey. And the music playing in the lobby all night was not the best thing for a solid night's sleep.
the deco / art was cool. the place was very clean. the bed and linens were very comfy
it wasn’t obvious during the booking the room i booked did not have a bathroom or shower. i didn’t even think they had hotels anymore with communal bathrooms and showers. when i checked it it wasn’t mentioned. then when i realized it, they said extra fee to change rooms and up charge if i wanted a room with a bathroom/shower. also , walls paper thin and street noise loud. i didn’t sleep very well at all.
Lovely, hip, awesome location
The super cozy blankets are washed with synthetic fragrances and thus unusable
Love the location and remodel of this hotel!
The private bath is a bit small with not much room for bathroom needs. A fold down small table by the sink would be helpful and a few extra hooks for clothes.
beautiful property, well-done re-design. Prices are fair, especially for a downtown location! Management very helpful and kind - just moved here and very happy with our stay here. Dog friendly too❤️
