Smart Place Inn Kyoto Nijojo Horikawa

Good hotel for a staying close to touristic areas. Easy to reach by bus. The breakfast is at 500mt in an affiliated cafe but was ok. Room and bathroom were clean.

宿泊階行エレベーターがフロントの奥にあるのでセキュリティ万全。
部屋に衣類芳香消臭剤、バスルームにクロースラインロープやシャワーカーテンポールがあったか覚えていませんが、ホテルに1階にコインランドリーがあるので長期滞在問題なし。
部屋にはPC作業などできる程度の机がありリモートワークや出張中の事務作業も可能。
商店街近くの立地ですがあまり騒がしくありませんでした。

プライベートな空間を確保しつつ寝るだけのホテルであれば十分すぎるほど。

Everything was fine overall, except for one concerning incident: a staff member opened our door to let another guest in without verifying their room assignment. Although they later apologized, this is a serious breach of security. Fortunately, we were in the room at the time, and as a couple, the situation was manageable. However, had one of us been alone, out of the room, or in the shower, it would have been entirely unacceptable. The hotel should ensure guest safety and privacy.

Ein modernes, sauberes und smart eingerichtetes Hotel mit allem was man für einen Städtetrip braucht. Die Lage ist super, Anbindung an die Stadt und Umgebung sehr leicht zu Fuß oder mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln. Nettes und hilfreiches Personal. Gerne wieder.

部屋はとてもきれいで清潔で良かったです。
ただ、チェックイン前に荷物を預かっていただいたのですが、狭いフロント前に置かれるので、スタッフが目を離した隙に外部から簡単に盗られるのでは？と不安になりました。
預かる荷物の保管スペースは安全な所に確保していただければと思います。

Convient but there is another smart place inn there is closer to station. This one is placed in the middle of two stations - both 8-10 min walk. Quite area to stay even though it is close to centrum. Room has a fairly size - could maybe ude a deep cleen because there was kinda dusty. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room want give but it was efficient. Comfortable and a place for everything. Clean.

M‘s Inn Omiya Kuromon is definitely a recommendable place to stay in Kyoto. It is located in a very quiet neighboorhood, so it will be hard to find open restaurants at night. Very convenient is the free shuttle bus from the M’s Information Center just outside the Kyoto Main Train Station. You can also keep your luggage there or let it send to your hotel but check the timetables before. The staff at the information center was unfortunately super rude and impolite which provided a very bad first impression to us. However, the staff at our hotel was always nice and helpful.
Our transportation hub for trains and all buses was the Omiya station which is a 600 meter walk away. It is quite a pain to walk this distance several times. There is another M‘s Inn closer to the station, we would look for a room there next time. However, the station is good because you have direct access to the train to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and it is just 2 stations to Karawamachi with many restaurants and access to the Gion area. Our room was small but thats normal in Japan. It was located at the end of the floor so the internet connection was a bit slow which is the only minus. They clean the room just every 3 days which is okay since they change the towels every day if you like. Laundry is for free which is a big plus. However, the dryer needs very much time, so only use this for small laundry. We stayed 5 nights here and slept well. We can definitely recommend this hotel.

The location was great as we were off the beaten track and had a good insight into more local Kyoto rather than the key tourist areas. The hotel itself was great but the staff weren’t very personable. The advertised ‘staffed desk’ is probably an overeach as we had to check in and out through an iPad. The room and amenities were very good

Hotel well located in the centre beside Nijo castle and market. Metro station beside to you to train station and sightseeing areas. Staff not very friendly.

難点はフロント業務に時間制限があるので、遅くにチェックインされる方は少し難ありです。他は良いと思います。
